Youth Insearch is quite simply one of the most positive, pro-active support & counselling programs out there for young people. Training young leaders to work with participants on the peer level is brilliant - the love & support at these weekend camps is so evident and has enabled over 30,000 young people to make positive changes to their lives. I went to my first Youth Insearch program in 1988. Youth Insearch (YI) is a program which provided untold help to me as a teenager and to many others in my time and since. The network YI helped me to build then is still a support to me now. I learned skills which equipped me to deal with issues in those teenage years and they are still a part of my arsenal now.

I am now giving back to YI, I am an accredited Leader, I assist the young people with facilitating the weekend programs and particularly leading teams and facilitating "hassle sessions" where young people are able to talk about their issues and gain peer support and assistance.

I know people who are only alive today because of the YI program and the skills they have learned through YI. I am a proud participant, Leader and supporter.

As a former young participant who has gone through the leadership program and now a leader, Youth Insearch changed my life drastically, this program has brought to my life some of the most important life lessons that i will ever learn, i was welcomed with open arms and now, after a year and a bit of being with the program, i could not imagine my life without it, this program saved me from myself and it will forever be in my heart and in my life.
