Once in a lifetime experience! I did a 2 week Dentistry placement in Pokhara, Nepal (Nov/Dec 2018). We received amazing hospitality from the WTW Pokhara team - we had the best food at the WTW house! Sunil, Karuna and the rest of the WTW Pokhara team were always taking care of us. Karuna recommended and went out of her way to basically help arrange all our weekend adventures, super nice of her! Correspondence with the WTW team in UK prior to the trip was flawless, I felt well prepared before heading on my trip. I would highly recommend Work the World!

I travelled to Takoradi, Ghana in September-November 2019. I completed a 4 week midwifery placement in a small maternity hospital, a 1 week rural village placement, and then travelled around the country for 2 weeks by myself. It was the most incredible experience! Work the World were extremely supportive and everything is organised for you so all you have to do is show up for your placement essentially. The more you put into your clinical placement, the more you will get it out of it for sure. Would 100% recommend for midwifery students!

Absolute experience of a lifetime. Work the World is committed to providing students in the field of healthcare with exposure that cannot be found anywhere else. So glad I had to opportunity to attach at Vietnam and I am definitely already missing it.

This program has provided me with a very early clinical exposure that I would not otherwise be able to acquire and I must thank the local healthcare workers for their patience and guidance throughout the 2 weeks. Forever grateful!

I went with Work the World on a 6-week elective placement to Pokhara in Nepal. From the moment I arrived in Kathmandu I had access to Work the World’s support team who looked after us so well. I also had a network of housemates from around the world. The support the team provided meant all our energy could be spent on having the adventure of a lifetime.

My trip with Work the World was a most wholesome experience. I met some incredible people who were so welcoming of me to their country. I have come home with a great appreciation of the healthcare Australia is able to provide. I stepped out of my comfort zone and was able to explore the natural beauty which Nepal boasts. Pokhara was the perfect destination for an elective placement, mostly because there was so much to do, so nearby. It is very safe to explore as well, even when on your own or in small groups.

I highly recommend a Pokhara trip for anyone looking for an eye-opening, educational, exciting and enjoyable adventure. But regardless of where you pick, Work the World will no doubt do an amazing job of looking after you!

The team is professional to provide remarkable experience of overseas clinical attachment to medical students. I went to Iloilo, Philippines in April, and had a good time there with other students and staff in hospital. I will definitely join the adventure again in future.

My experience with WTW was wonderful! I spent 5 weeks in Kathmandu in September/October last year and it was one of the best things I've ever done. The team who were contacting me before my trip were incredibly helpful especially regarding insurance. The staff in the Kathmandu house were fantastic and I really got the best out of my placement because of them. Im very grateful to all of them and highly recommend Kathmandu for Nurses

A very easy to organise elective with the opportunity to choose from a large number of countries and cities. The team was incredible to work with and was very supportive from the moment I decided to pursue an elective with Work the World. I felt very at ease before departing, knowing my entire elective and accommodation was organised by the team. I visited Kandy, Sri Lanka and prior to going I was a little hesitant knowing that I would be travelling to a developing nation by myself. However, the local team ensured that safety was the number one priority. Organising my placement through Work the World meant that I was able to meet other like-minded health care students and therefore was never alone in Sri Lanka. The placement itself was very well organised and the hospital was very welcoming and fond of Work the World students.

Work the World is an amazing organisation filled with beautiful people who work hard to make overseas placements in developing countries easy. They made my physiotherapy placement in Pokhara, Nepal an unforgettable experience and I could not recommend them highly enough for anyone interested in commencing a healthcare placement overseas.
