Went here today and most things I wanted said they were in stock online but weren’t in stop but no biggie there. My problem is that only one girl was on staff at the registers, I felt bad for her. She had 5 people at the served checkout with big trolleys waiting to get served at then half the self checkout machines were out of order and 3 of us were waiting to be helped bc of errors on them and she couldn’t help because she had to serve the other people it was crazy, the shop wasn’t even busy it was just a build up of people and no one to help her. Woolies has to get their stuff together because how can you be a multi million dollar company but can’t even get staff in and pay them properly.

I asked my son to get 2. Packs of crumpets. $9.60 for two packs at Woolworths Ballina Fair. A friend in Melbourne bought two packs for $6. A friend sent me IGA’s Lismore supermarket $2.30 per pack. What an absolute rip off by Woolworths Ballina Fair, for a little water and some flour! Talk about price gouging. This is an absolute disgrace. The government should stop the supermarkets from ripping the public off. This is not good enough!

7:45 am,17th November 2024. I went to Woolworths in ballina today with my husband to buy some groceries. We got our groceries and went through the self service. I have anxiety and hate being around certain types of people. The Woolworths worker at the self service isle made me feel very uncomfortable as he kept walking back and forth very closely behind us and almost breathing down our necks. It was discusting behaviour. The man seemed like a scary predator to me and gave me bad anxiety. I wanted to leave the store immediately. My partner felt like yelling at him to get away from us. We will not be back to Woolworths ballina. People need to learn to stay out of other people's bubbles and learn to respect others and give people the personal space they deserve. The 3m rule should always apply in public areas.

I went in the other day to do some shopping for a friend, and there were a few items that I had trouble finding, as there was low stock on the shelves at the time.
I spoke to a staff member named Lucia, who went well out of her way to find an item that I was after, and was generally very pleasant to talk to. It's always uplifting to have such a pleasant interaction with a staff member.

Despite being spacious, this Woolworths branch is fast deteriorating in terms of product availability and quality. Be sure to check expiry dates of products and double check how the 'fresh' meat and such appear before buying! Staff standards are increasingly hit and miss with some staff exceptionally rude. Examples include staff who may rummage one's shopping bag without asking while you're still at the till scanning items and unhelpful store supervisors who give flippant responses when concerns are raised. Sadly, I have noticed an attrition in the 'old guard' of pleasant, helpful staff. The store does hire youths and that's great, however the lack of training is clearly visible. Explains why many loyal clients like myself have decided to opt for options across the road!
