The staff were very friendly. The whole property was very well looked after and had plenty to do for all ages. Close to the pub and beach, BUT……..For what we paid, $200 per night, the cabin was not what we were expecting. It was very small, the bathroom was tiny, the shower was the smallest I have ever been in, when I sat on the toilet I nearly banged my head on the basin, no toiletries, the wifi was useless pointless them having it. We have stayed in much nicer cabins while on our travels and paid a lot less.

Stayed at the Wollongong Surf Leisure Resort for the past 5 days to attend the Yours and Owls festival. Staff were very helpful and the facilities were all up to standard. The resort is right on the beach which was fantastic and the pub across the road was a few minutes walk. Will definitely be making the trip back from Victoria again next year.

Our stay at this venue had its ups and downs. While there were some excellent aspects, a few major issues really impacted our experience.

The Good:
The location is unbeatable—just a 2-minute walk to the beach, which was a huge plus. The kids loved the golf and basketball court, which kept them entertained. The amenities were convenient, and it’s clear the venue caters well to families.

The Not-So-Good:
Unfortunately, the beds were a nightmare. They were so uncomfortable and dipped so badly that I didn’t sleep for the first two nights. On the third night, I resorted to putting the mattress on the floor, only to discover mould underneath the bed, which made it hard to breathe throughout the night.

We also had issues with the cabin layout. We were told that the two cabin options available were identical, except for one type had assigned parking. Based on this, we booked the cabin without assigned parking, but upon arrival, we realised the cabins were not identical. Unlike the other cabins with grass and outdoor seating, ours opened directly onto a concrete car park. This left us stuck inside most of the time with the kids, which wasn’t ideal. We tried to upgrade, but unfortunately, all the other cabins were booked.

In summary, the location and family-friendly facilities are great, but the misleading cabin descriptions and the unacceptable bed and mould situation were major letdowns. If the venue addresses these issues, it could be a fantastic getaway spot.

We have stayed at WSLR several times in various different room types and always found it to be a great experience. The rooms are clean, reasonably priced, and well stocked with kitchen items, towels, sheets, etc. The location between the beach and the town is fantastic. And the thing that always stands out to me are that the staff are always very friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend this holiday park, particularly for families with young kids as the indoor pool, mini golf, playground and other facilities are perfect for young families.

good maintened little cottages, cleaning levels above our expectation. Beautiful beach like few minutes away and most importantly very quite and peaceful. Nice place for escape of city.

This is one of the ideal resort down the south coast for a startup family. Location is great so you don’t worry about food, plenty of local food around, beautiful beach at the back so you can even swimming at the night time under the moon n stars, caravan camping is available, actually bigger than you expected! Morning breakie under the tree with little birds.

From the friendliest service, to cleanliness to entertainment for the kids and family and your own access to the beautiful beach, I'm not sure it gets better than that. I've been holidaying at this fantastic resort for over 10 years now and as cliche as it sounds I genuinely do highly recommend this resort. I've not yet heard of my clients disappointments as yet !!!!!

Stayed here for the week while on work. Didn't use the various amenities, but the rooms were clean and comfortable enough. Would have been set up reasonably well to self cater in the room with basic kitchen supplies and a good stove.
