I had an urgent request on behalf of a NFP/Charity. The Reception team were always professional, courteous and considerate of my needs. I waited for only a couple of days and was always encouraged to call any time. Its easy to appreciate how busy everyone at Council must be but despite that, they were always conscientious of our needs. Geoffrey H. called multiple times, gave the best possible advice he could, just so we could meet our timings. Incredible service from the whole team; superbly conscientious of their constituents.

$320. This is the cost of a single parking infringement in a residential street of Fairy Meadow. Is someone at the council having a laugh?! Let's play spot the signage together (hint, it's there):

If l could give Less Stars l would, however, I Don't Have That Luxury.. 😒😒😒😒😒😒😒
I like many home owners in the Wollongong Area just pay my dues and have to deal with these Incompetent Overpaid Clowns.
I have often thought of having a say but
Could Not Be Bothered Til Now.
I live in Gibsons Road, Figtree and need
to say how l feel in what I've had to put
up with. Not To Mention, Every Other
Motorists who lives in & uses Gibsons Road.
The Problems started when the Access to Gibsons Road From the Southern End From
The Eastern Side was made a "NO ENTRY"
Then came the Speed Humps which
have made Absolutely NO DIFFERENCE TO SLOWING DOWN OF TRAFFIC AT ALL!!!!!.
The only thing speed humps seem to do is cause Damage to Suspensions, etc, etc..
Then Come The Spray Seal. Instead of
Repaving Our Road they used Spray Seal Which Resulted In Constant Sweeper Truck Noise & Additional Heavy Traffic Movement.
While Experience This Rubbish l've Then
Witnessed Frazer Street & Factor Road
Unanderra Get A Complete Rejuvenation With A Bitumen Mat Finish.
Whoever Organised The Gibsons Road Scope
of Work Must Have Been Rewarded Hansomely. I'm sure everyone will know what
I mean & understand the circumstance. 😉😉

Recently had an issue for land rates for our property which were paid twice, applied for a refund and the whole process was disappointing, refunds only by cheque and only processed on Thursdays so I have to wait till next week for a refund!!! Not customer focused at all!!

Most disappointed with the care from this council. I am a local resident paying high rates for years & have had a concern about a new DA next door & access to their secondary dwelling. Our private land is constantly being trespassed on & we mentioned this would be a concern if the DA did not consider access to the secondary dwelling on the new development next door. Every week it is presenting itself as a huge problem for our property, privacy and safety that builders and the new owner just keep trespassing on our land. Council should have considered access to this not through our land & mentioned to the owner they do not have vehicle access. Now it is out of council's hands that our land is being used & damaged & causing issues to us as residents.

The staff were very efficient and welcoming. We concluded our business within five minutes of walking through the door.

I have really appreciated Council's dedication to making Wollongong more bike-friendly and climate-friendly. The new bike lanes (e.g. on Smith St) have made commuting into and around the CBD much safer and more accessible for cyclists, which has made it possible for me to do things like reduce the impact of food miles by biking to the grocery store and ride at night. When you live within a 5km radius of the CBD, it makes sense to save money and cycle in our beautiful city! Wollongong drivers are highly aggressive and antagonistic towards people (even kids) riding bikes, so without proper cycling infrastructure like this, cycling safely in this city wouldn't be possible for a lot of us. I would love to see more education campaigns to reduce driver aggression. Many other cities in the world have made cycling easy, safe, cheap, and have minimal impact on car traffic, and I am glad we are on our own journey to do this here. I love seeing the development of more climate friendly policies in Wollongong. Thank you, WCC!
