My son was a special needs child who went to West Ryde Public School. While his teacher was amazing, the school had him for a year and a bit, then decided they didn't want to have anything to do with him anymore. They recommended we send him to a school with a supported environment, but when that wasn't working out, we attempted to send him back to West Ryde Public. They made every excuse possible NOT to take him back, despite promising us he could come back anytime we wanted. I get the demographics of the area and what pressures the parents must be placing on the school to produce high NAPLAN scores, but it's the school's responsibility to care for EVERY child in their zone, including kids who may not perform to the standards they want. No doubt, their principal is involved in all this. Disgusting, revolting attitude and the duplicity is just hard to stomach - they need to start caring about the kids themselves, not just what they can achieve for the school.

Despite the fact that the school was small, all of the teachers were friendly and welcoming. When I was at this school, 4 years ago, there was very little space for students to play during recess and lunch because all of the grass had been removed and replaced with demountables. I believe that students now have space to enjoy their breaks and have excellent facilities. Overall, it is a great public school in which I wholeheartedly recommend enrolling your child.

2.5, School is quite good because it has nice teachers such as Miss Gray. However the toilets can be very dirty. Honestly they should be given a world record for their dirty toilets. Also heard new principal extremely terrible.

I used to go to West Ryde Public School and I am now in year 9. It is a beautiful public school with friendly staff and welcoming children. You can never feel lonely because you will fit in somewhere in this culturally diverse primary school. I highly recommend you put your child there, although I’m not sure how the new buildings are. I definitely learnt a lot from this school and it still brings me such nostalgic memories!

One of the greatest experiences I've had in my life, however near the end of my time at the school the leadership team failed the school tremendously, not only the students but also the teachers this was a true level of disgrace to the school. I have nothing but love for the school but this issue truly pushed the line and I hope that this issue is solved for future generations to come so I dearly hope that this change will happen.

This school was very good until the new principal, Mr Sakuna Pho came in to replace the amazing principal before him. Mr Pho has ruined the year and keeps criticising the students and putting them down while claiming to help them achieve their stars and goals, this is very false and wrong. I do not recommend this school to any new parents until Mr Pho has left and while the musty toilets and buildings are fixed.

Literally just graduated school was mid people peed in the girls toilet soap dispensers in yr 5 & 6 I got bullied and even when I told the teachers nothing happened until my dad had to confront them also the bathrooms are really nasty and some of my teachers where rlly rude also camp ruined my life DONT GO TO THIS SCHOOL IF U WANT A GOOD LIFE
