Very nice and scenic dam, one of the biggest if not the biggest in Australia, and was a beautiful place to visit and sightsee. It had a gallery and a big hall type room, which had a few stuffed animals and a huge screen, giving information about the dam. There were worksheets and activities for kids to do, and a nice place to sit and see the dam. There was also a dam walk on the wall, but there was no access. Amazing place, recommended!

One of the biggest dams in the world. It's just spectacular when looking at the structure, size and magnitude of the dam. Not to mention the wildlife it would have supported. There is a visitor information centre and you can go inside where there is a small museum with information about the dam. Fascinating information about how things were done without technology and how the dam was made. Worth a visit.

Warragamba Dam is a wonderfull place for a day trip or a school excursion, it is also practical for elderly people as the have a mini bus to take you down to the dam. To start with their is two large fields as you enter, with public toilets and seating used for pick-nicks and BBQ, lots of green grass for the kids to run around. So you can bring you BBQ and Pickwick basket. The Dam has a nice observation centre and an information centre at the top, it’s the big building. The walk down is easy maybe 50 stairs. The information centre also has helpful staff and they run the museum which is good for the kids and interactive. The dam is amazing to look and and see the engineering and the Crain as well as the wildlife that live in the area

Have you ever wondered what a dam looks like? Or where the water in your house comes from? Worth a visit if you want these sorts of questions answered.

Warragamba Dam was opened in 1960 and continues to be an important part of the water supply network for the entire Sydney and beyond. This is an interesting place to visit and it's open almost everyday.

There are ample grounds and facilities for a picnic. There is no cafeteria here so you'll need to bring your own refreshments. Be prepared to walk if you wish to explore and have a closer view of the dam wall. Yes, you can actually walk along the top of the dam.

The information centre is awesome and has plenty of information on the history of the dam and the water supply network. The staff is friendly and helpful.

There is ample no-hassle parking but it can get busy depending on the time of day, especially weekends.
