Do not go to this school if your child has hopes and dreams. The teachers are racist and will bully your child depending on their race and whether they like them or not. Many teachers power trip and get kids in trouble for minor things. This school pays more attention to making the school seem like a good place and less money and care to the teachers, and the overall atmosphere.

This school is good I also had more friends in this school. The only thing I don’t like is sports because the first thing we had to do in sports run around the football place but I am not saying it is bad the favorite thing is that when it is vacation day you can bring any devices like a Nintendo switch I pad and a phone.

There are many good oppurtunities in this school, which broaden when you're in OC.

Kids behave better when the teacher is strict, but not too strict, my class was a little bit naughty at first, but it got better when our teacher got less lenient and more strict.

This is school is absolutely horrible, especially in the sport aspect. Almost every sports team was horrible expect for the cricket team. The teachers there are ok but there are some that are literally treating us like slaves

Waitara Public School is ok, the only reason I don’t like it is because girls get way more opportunities than boys. Girls get to trial for two extra sports: Soft ball and Netball. And when it comes to soccer girls get to wear our jerseys but the boys don’t. In addition, girls in my class (and probably in other classes) get to talk outside the classroom for roughly a whole session without permission and the teachers don’t care. I recommend to send girls here but not boys. This school is sexist to boys.

Not recommended for kids (and parents) with English as a second language. Might be ok for others, perhaps. We found the staff patronising, strict and unprofessional - to the point of being unable to distinguish a child who refuses to speak up, from a child who's anxious or groping for words. The school also notoriously refuses to share exam content with parents, under some misguided blanket assumption that exam results will be used for punishment rather than support. Would be good to see them pulled into the 21st century.

This school is absolutely amazing! The teachers have been so kind to me and they never put any pressure on you when doing tests. I have been going here since kindy and I have made so many new everlasting friendships which every child deserves. The teachers are also extremely helpful if you get bullied and don’t have the courage to stand up for yourself you can tell them and they will help you solve the problem. Overall, this school is amazing and I will cherish all the memories I have made here.

Been here since Kindy and finished primary school 1 year ago

Inside this spectacularly well-furnished, very sophisticated school, I was mostly treated here with the dignity any human being deserves - something I cannot say the same for when you reach high school. The food here is great, the teachers are all high-quality, and the classes are well thought-out. In correlation to the school song, everybody 'lives' inside of this rejoicing community, where the "sun always shines".

There is, however, some frequent bullying occurring and often a clash between the opportunity class and mainstream because of some opinions unbeknownst to many. Honestly, I wasn't really sure what my classmates were trying to do when provoking the 4 other classes (teachers, on their behalf I apologise for this).

There are many chess sets present inside the classrooms, allowing you to access a place with endless joy for many boring old recesses and lunches. The library is a calm and soothing place to relax and overall, I enjoyed my stay at this wonderful place.

Parents that may be reading this, you wouldn't want to pass up an opportunity to bring your sons and daughters to this school. It truly meant a lot. They raised me up. Now and again, I reminisce on everything that had led up to where I belong, to this day. Thank you.
