This school is atrocious. As a former student year 6-8 i can confidently tell you that this school bullies kids, they tell you to treat teachers with respect but you dont get any in return. They care more about how people look in specific detail (like earring size) rather than the students educations. They dont do anything about kids bullying other kids and expect you to figure it out and they have a horrible punishment process, including demerits for the slightest reasons ending in an afterschool detention or suspension.

As a parent and former student of Wahroonga Adventist School, I am utterly shocked to learn that a student with special needs who was looking to apply for school captain was not even allowed to give a speech but was simply dismissed. The reason the school gave for not allowing this student to run for school captain was that his Instagram account featured videos of him swearing, despite the fact that these videos were deleted and were from many years ago, and the account was private. I hope to bring more attention to this situation and to give this student a chance to voice his perspective.

The boys' summer uniform is horrible. I don't understand why they think it looks good.

As a concerned parent, I feel compelled to share my disappointing experience with Wahroonga Adventist. Unfortunately, my time at this institution has been nothing short of disheartening, and I cannot recommend it to other families seeking quality education for their children. Here are the reasons behind my negative review:

Lackluster Academic Standards: The academic standards at Wahroonga Adventist are shockingly low. The curriculum fails to challenge students and provide them with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in higher education or the professional world. It seems that mediocrity is the norm, and there is a distinct lack of enthusiasm from both the teaching staff and the administration.

Inadequate Resources: The school's resources are severely lacking. Outdated textbooks, limited access to technology, and a scarcity of extracurricular activities create a stifling learning environment. The absence of essential resources hampers students' ability to explore their interests and develop crucial skills beyond the bare minimum.

Negligent Staff: The teachers and staff at Wahroonga Adventist have demonstrated a concerning lack of passion and dedication towards their students. Their disinterested attitudes are reflected in their teaching methods, which often lack creativity and fail to engage the students effectively. Additionally, there is a lack of communication between teachers and parents, making it difficult to address concerns or gain insight into a child's progress.

Bullying and Discipline Issues: Wahroonga Adventist fails to effectively address bullying and discipline issues plaguing the student body. Instances of bullying and harassment are often dismissed or overlooked, leaving the victims feeling neglected and unsafe. The administration's lack of proactive measures to create a safe and inclusive environment is deeply concerning.

Limited Extracurricular Opportunities: The school's extracurricular offerings are disappointingly limited. There is a lack of diverse clubs, sports teams, and artistic outlets for students to explore their passions and talents. As a result, students are deprived of opportunities for personal growth, character development, and building a well-rounded skill set.

In conclusion, I regretfully express my dissatisfaction with Wahroonga Adventist. The lackluster academic standards, inadequate resources, negligent staff, discipline issues, and limited extracurricular opportunities make this institution an unsatisfactory choice for any student's educational journey. I strongly advise parents and students to explore other options that prioritize excellence, a nurturing environment, and a commitment to holistic education.

Wahroonga has a wide expanding community. Most teachers are willing to help students with their needs. A bit of a let down on sport focus but great education system with amazing principles.

Stairs are not built well. When it's wet, the stairs become a major hazard, students slipping and injuring themselves. The school has tried to fix the problem with securing the grips on the edges of the stairs, but have proven ineffective. Very unhappy that my child came with bruises on their legs

Although the group of kids are generally pretty good in all years, I cannot say the same for the quality of the teachers. The standard of the teaching at the primary school has fallen since the focus of the school switched to the high school. Our children missed out on entire lessons from the NSW curriculum as the school day seemed to be overly spent on religion. It is not bad to have religious lessons, but it gets overwhelming when it takes up lesson time that should be spent on basic subjects such as maths and spelling. They would do better to not employ family members, but rather spend a little bit more money and find teachers who have come from good teaching colleges and have some experience before being thrown into a classroom situation on their own. The bully policy is not upheld at all. This story has been heard many times. The kids lost playground space during building works which led to overcrowding in a space less than half a tennis court. We wish the school could return to it's heyday.
