My experience at the University of New England has been nothing short of exceptional. As an old public university, it holds a rich heritage that resonates through its halls. One of its most commendable aspects is its commitment to affordability, ensuring that students aren't burdened with unexpected fee hikes in the middle of the session—a true testament to their dedication to student welfare.

However, like any institution, there's always room for improvement. While most tutors are highly qualified and dedicated, there have been instances where some fell short of expectations. I believe investing in hiring even more qualified tutors would further enhance the learning experience and ensure every student receives the support they deserve.

Overall, the University of New England provides a nurturing environment for academic growth, coupled with a strong commitment to accessibility and affordability. It's a place where students can truly thrive and pursue their dreams with confidence.

I studied at the University of New England internally from 1994 - 1997 (Bachelor of Languages) and online from 2002 - 2004 (MBA) and both experiences were very pleasant.

The quality of teaching was second to none and I was able to access all the information I required easily and tutors were always happy to help. I was able to achieve really strong results in my studies and employers have always been impressed with my level and quality of qualifications.

My UNE qualifications have helped me get some really amazing jobs in the past because of the skills I have learned and the knowledge that my tutors imparted to me.

Armidale is a picturesque location, and a peaceful and calm place to study, with plenty of local events and attractions. While cold in winter, autumn, summer and spring offer a pleasant temperature. The cost of living (renting, buying a house) is much cheaper than the big cities, and it is a great place to raise a family or for those with children wanting to study on campus.
While it can take a little bit of adjusting to living in a country town, the sense of community in Armidale is something I think all big cities miss.

I moved from Adelaide to Armidale after 22 years away and it has been a welcome change. I am excited to be back on campus after such a long time (working now) and preparing to study here again over the next few years.

I would recommend studying at UNE for the peaceful environment, first rate teachers, and flexibility (in person or online) that UNE offers.

Avoid at all costs!
The school employs a CEO and vice chancellor charged with assault of a student (Heywood). Her linkedin still lists her as active in the role.
The school is mostly automated and while it has plenty of virtue signalling programs, it is almost impossible to navigate the chaos of where to find them online.
This university only wants your money and i'm embarrassed to study there.
Future enrols beware.

Whose idea was it to have a graduation out in the scorching sun? It’s inhumane.
