I recently had the privilege of attending an Emergency Response Team (ERT) training session led by Shawn Jones at Thurgoona Training Academy, and I must say, it far exceeded my expectations. Shawn's expertise and passion for the subject were evident from the outset, and he delivered the material in a way that was both engaging and informative.

Throughout the training, we covered a wide range of topics, including the critical understanding of the benefits and dangers of fire, and the importance of a well-executed sweep search for casualties. The hands-on approach ensured that everyone in the group not only understood the theory but also felt confident in applying it in real-life scenarios.

I'd also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to my incredible batchmates—Izi, Tyson, Aubrey, and Lisa. Your camaraderie made the experience even more enjoyable. A special shout-out to the ‘young guns’ who assisted throughout the training and the dedicated staff of Thurgoona Training Academy for their support and professionalism.
