My daughter has been taking the after-school classes for a few years now and literally begs to continue these classes even though she has a full HS schedule. We have seen her confidence grow in her writing from the time she started. This is largely due to Bernard’s and his assistant’s supportive teaching approach, giving her a safe space to explore ideas, providing actionable feedback and encouragement. She looks forward to his classes every week despite his quirky jokes. 🙂 Bernard’s team have on occasions reached out and provided extra feedback on certain pieces, giving her extra confidence in her writing. So much so she identifies herself as a writer, which exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend these classes

My son 7 year old son (who has never liked writing and only talks about soccer) absolutely loves Bernard's after-school writing classes. He says it's the 'funnest' part of his day and, each week, he produces a beautifully written, funny and creative piece of writing, like nothing I've ever seen him do in the normal classroom. It's great to see him feel more confident and proud about creative writing!

Both of my daughters were students of The Writing Workshop - my eldest from year 4 all the way through to year 12. Her confidence and passion for writing grew immensely in this time and I attribute this to the workshops and Bernard's approach to teaching creative writing. We are extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to enrol in the after-school workshop at Eastwood Public School all those years ago.

My two kids (now 7 and 9 years old) have been going to the writing workshop since they were in year 1. It’s a fun and highly engaging way to develop their storytelling and vocabulary and a great way to stretch their imaginations. The kids take great pride in sharing their work with others both in the class and with friends and family. Highly recommended.

No worth it, very overpriced, not enjoyable. Had big expectations of this service and ended up quite disappointed. Not even one page of writing for the whole day of the workshop.
