The Learning Lounge is a great place to learn music, whatever you are into. Mike, Vanessa and all the music tutors are knowledgeable and committed. I sent my kids there and now I am learning guitar.

My daughter started piano lessons as a beginner at The Learning Lounge last year and can’t wait to start again this year. She has learnt so much under the guidance of her teacher Phoebe and her love of music and piano has increased since. While the location is small and at times busy, the focus is always on music and an encouraging learning environment. I would not hesitate in recommending The Learning Lounge to anyone, young or old looking to learn an instrument.

We first discovered The Learning Lounge in 2009 and one or other of our children have been receiving instrument tuition there ever since - for the last 3 years they have both been there every week improving consistently on their chosen instruments (clarinet/bass clarinet/guitar/bass guitar). Mike and Vanessa are wonderful at finding the perfect tutors, juggling the timetables and accommodating the changing needs of our growing children. Communication from The Learning Lounge is great and lessons run beautifully to time. From primary school through high school the Learning Lounge has met our musical needs perfectly and I can see we are going to be there for years still to come.!

My daughter has been attending The Learning Lounge for singing lessons for a little over two years now. She absolutely loves her lessons! Under the guidance of her teacher Lisa, her technical skills have improved immensely and most importantly her confidence has grown enormously to the point where she is now confidently and successfully auditioning and performing. We are incredibly lucky to have such an impressive centre to learn music in our local area.

My daughter has been taking drum lessons at the Learning Lounge for a number of years and really enjoys every lesson. Her teacher, Mike Richards, is wonderful and always willing to help and she comes out of each lesson happy, even when she has had a bad day at school. Mike and Vanessa Gordon are extremely helpful with any issues that arise (usually created by my daughter's school activities) and always try to assist in making sure that these don't result in my daughter missing lessons. I highly recommend the Learning Lounge -- it is a friendly, well-run school with experienced, committed and talented teachers that put a lot of effort into helping their students learn and progress.

What an terrific place! My grandson son started learning the drums at The Learning lounge when he was 4yrs old. He learned happily for 10 years. He is now 15yrs old, graded highly in all his AMEB Drum exams and he is on a Scholarship in High School as a result. Over the years, his drum tutors have been supportive, encouraging and motivating. My grandson has never lost his passion for learning and I love hearing him play. I can't speak highly enough of the friendly and supportive staff and everybody's passion for music there. This is a music school that cares about their students and knows everyone by name and greets you with a smile as you come in.
My grandson wants to now learn to sing and his parents will happily send him back to The Learning Lounge for lessons.

Our three children have been students at The Learning Lounge over the past seven years. It is a wonderful family business run by Mike and Vanessa - real musicians- with caring and talented staff. The end of year performance is a definite highlight in our calendar!
