The Urunga honey place is an icon that many of us have grown up with and are now bringing our children to. We recently did a day trip down south to visit the honey place and it was so much fun. Our bee obsessed toddler was ecstatic to see the working beehive and the history museum with the vintage suits and old combs is such a fun addition. The honey tasting bar was well set out and we enjoyed tasting different varieties of honey. There’s a cute little gift shop with everything from jewellery to bee plushes. We got some nostalgic choc honeycomb (the BEST by far), some varieties of honey and a few bits and bobs. Such a beautiful local business and nostalgic for many.

This Australian Big Thing is one impressive doorway entrance, the Big Bee Hive was hand-made by the owner father long ago.

Well worth the stop for any honey and bee lover.
Great variety of honey and anything bee related to buy after some free honey tasting.
Happy to support a small family business.

Well stocked gift shop with some interesting items like bee venom moisturiser and a cafe with all sorts of drinks and honey related snacks. Friendly attentive staff took us through all the honey tastings. Would definitely recommend a visit on your way through 🙂

Usually make a visit once a year to this place & it never disappoints. The owner (and other staff I've dealt with) are always friendly, patient & incredibly helpful in finding you the perfect honey to take home.

Never thought I'd see so many different variations of honey- wait until you try the tasting bar. Lots of options, lots to learn. We personally enjoy the Red Ironbark & Creamed Honey.

Highly recommended. 🐝

This was a great experience in such a lovely venue. Quite a lot of information on the bees and very interesting watching them work. We tried the ice cream, various flavoured honey and spotted the queen. Definitely recommended to pass half an hour in the afternoon if you're passing through.
