James is a dead set legend. He has so much knowledge and passion for what he does. We loved having him in our home. James’ relaxed vibe alongside his professional knowledge makes for a great guide to training one’s dog. We found James to be super reliable, easy to work with and very helpful with our golden retriever who begs all the time, pulls on the lead, is jealous of the baby and a very loud security dog at times we don’t need. After much research and word of mouth we decided to use James Mccoy 'The Dog Mechanic' to train our German Shepherd.
Cannot recommend him enough, our dog loved him. Great training methods and tips to help you train on your own.
Also plenty of information emailed to us to ensure we understood each training session and could follow through with it.
Highly recommend James for your dog training needs.

James is very knowledgeable and great with our staffy, Loki. After our training, Loki now walks perfectly on the lead and is so much better with other dogs. Highly recommended!

Super friendly and down to earth guy! Needed help with my cocker who was having problems with resource guarding and also getting out for walks as he was always anxious. Helped a lot with tips and tricks on getting him out and working with his resource guarding. Never made me feel bad for having these problems and is always super accomodating and helpful with things I.e what treats to buy, gave me snuffle mats, and bought clicker and a slip lead. Would recommend 1000 times over ?

I cannot believe the transformation in my 18 month old cavoodle… We have gone from cheeky little terror to the most obedient happy puppy one could ever wished for…. In a space of 3 lessons… The dog Mechanic got my fur baby on track, and me too lol… I now have the tools of the trade to last a life time… thank you soooo much for your help, patience and understanding of both our meeds. Highly recommend .
