I have had both bad and good experiences with this store. It is a lovely bookshop with a very interesting selection of titles and it is hard to leave without making a purchase. However I recently I left there feeling upset because of issues with the loyalty scheme.
My experience was bad because the staff refused to honour my loyalty reward. I am a frequent purchaser of books but my voucher had not arrived in the mail. The staff were insistent that they need the physical voucher as otherwise customers try to ‘game’ the system which I thought was a very unpleasant way to treat a regular customer. I left my purchases-8 books- behind as a result of this experience.
My voucher did eventually arrive. I was told it was sent at the end of November but it only arrived 3 weeks later. I told my son he could use it and this evening the store owner called me to let me know it had been used as she thought we might have had a problem with someone interfering with our mail. I was very appreciative of her thoughtfulness.
However I strongly recommend that the voucher system should be made digital which will eliminate all issues. It is ironic that a loyalty scheme designed to reward regular customers should have instead alienated me.

Best book shop in Bowral and if they haven't got your book they will go out of their way to get it quick smart. Service is professional and helpful. Pay a little bit more sometimes but it's local and with good service and they know what they are good at. I like going there.

I've never had anything but the best of friendly, efficient service from a wonderful staff. There's an excellent range of books and ordering is a breeze. We're extremely fortunate to have a bookshop of this calibre in Bowral.
