I am writing again to comment on my experience today following the extremely unprofessional response from the Ark to give a few more details.

Today they cancelled group lessons at 10:10 AM although the lesson was at 10 AM. My (pregnant) wife had already driven half an hour to get to Haberfield for my child to attend his tennis lesson, but upon arrival, they told us to go home.
They will say 'we can't control the rain' but at the end of the day, there are a variety of resources available at their fingertips. They might think about responding with 'but you can check the weather yourself', but the truth is that compensation is only available to parents whose lesson is CANCELLED after their decision, so if I don't want to waste my money, the only way to find out is drive the distance and then find out it is cancelled. There were plenty of clouds in the sky and the bom.gov radar clearly indicated rain, but they still decided for lessons to go ahead until all parents had arrived. Do they even consider some families have to cancel plans to be at tennis?

Additionally, they have broken the law on multiple occasions- violating their contract agreement which stipulates two lessons can be cancelled per term. By this, they should be compensating all parents monetarily rather than providing make-up lessons at inconvenient times (i.e. they are always in the afternoon- after lessons- so you need to come back rather than back to back).

All in all, I don't care about being refunded, but would rather them be aware of this manner of running a business.

It’s called The Ark for a good reason; newly refurbished tennis courts,
Pilates, free & variable weights, circuit
Boxing, strength training, dry sauna. The list goes on and on. It’s hidden away. Private and resort type vibe. Walking distance to Haberfield light rail. Plenty free parking with online booking that’s a no brainer. Enjoy the secret.

I have been attending Haberfield tennis courts for over 15 years, my children also now attend tennis lessons. Craig and Stephanie provide a great friendly service, very family orientated and are always accommodating. Great addition of a gym and daily pilates classes. Highly recommend.

We have been going to The Ark for 4-5 years (when they were Haberfield Tennis) for tennis lessons, squads and competitions for my son and lessons for myself. The coaches are all fantastic and the club has a friendly community vibe. I love that they have added in the extra fitness and wellness options and I’m now going there 3 days a week for Pilates and the Infrared sauna. I sometimes book in while my son is taking tennis lessons making it even more convenient. I highly recommend.

Lovely little setup. Great coaches, great facilities including ten well kept courts, a gym, basketball hoop and more. Especially kind staff in the shop. Would recommend!

Perhaps this tennis club has shut down? Most reviews are 2+ years old. Tried to play tennis here but the gate was locked and they don't accept court bookings. Nobody answered the phone.

So glad I found this place. It is worth the 1/2 hr drive for us.
