⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I loved it.
A must-visit for history buffs and railway enthusiasts! The Tenterfield Railway Station is a beautifully preserved 19th-century railway precinct, offering a rare glimpse into Australia's transportation history. Opened in 1886, it played a crucial role in linking Sydney and Brisbane by rail in 1888. The museum, run by the Tenterfield Railway Station Preservation Society, showcases the station's rich heritage with care and dedication. Walking through the almost intact coaches feels like stepping back in time. A fascinating and educational experience for all ages! Huge props to the volunteers that support the restoration work on this precinct.

Only $7.50 per adult to get in, take your time wondering through, many displays & variety of trains to view. Here are some less-than typical photos. Totally enjoyed this & excellent customer service.

These volunteers have done an amazing job. Well worth the small entry fee . This site gets Np funding and uses their entry fee for refurbishments and upkeep

This station opened in 1886 and was closed in 1989. Later reopened and lovingly restored by volunteers this is a captivating step back into a 19th century railway world. The history here is fascinating, and being able to walk through the different trains is an unforgettable experience. Do stop by if you're in Tenterfield.

A classic old Government colonial railway station that has survived intact due to the dedication of local enthusiasts'. It's well laid out and maintained. Reminds one that we have all lost something with the demise of the Rail system and as at primary provided of land transport.
