We have been at this wonderful dance school for 5 years after being referred by another dance teacher. My 2 daughters are very happy and we have all made lasting friendships. The values that Tara promotes come through so clearly - it's not just words and PR. All capabilities and interests are catered for and the dance routines and costumes are age appropriate and inclusive. Receptionist Michelle is an asset to the studio - making every child feel special and always assisting busy mums and dads with their queries. Looking forward to another great year with TBSOD.

You will not find a better dance school than Tara Becker School of Dance. We started 10 years ago when my daughter was 3 and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Family values are of high importance. Every child is made to feel special no matter how good a dancer they are. Hard work and effort gets noticed. All dances are age appropriate and costumes are always tasteful. Amazing friendships are formed and the teachers are all so caring. The receptionist Michelle is incredible. The kids all adore her and she knows everyone by name. You couldn’t meet a more beautiful human than Michelle. And lastly, I have so much respect and admiration for the owner Tara Shaw. Small business is a tough gig and she handles everything with grace, always putting the dancers and their families first. Why would you go anywhere else!

Wow. As a parent of two students who attend the school and are not competition dancers, just social dancers I am shocked at the review below. Never have I felt pushed aside or ignored by Michelle. In fact, Michelle went out of her way (chasing truck drivers....long story) to ensure my daughter had a Snow White costume that fit her for the concert. Even though my kids do not contribute to the various competitions that their friends attend, they are always treated as valued students and receive the same attention and education as the ‘true’ dance kids (sometimes more attention!). I distinctly remember approaching Tara with another parent stating that she should ask the studio parents for assistance with the move as we would all like to help. This was the parents’ idea, not Tara’s. If anything, Tara appeared shocked that we would be happy to help. The studio as a whole have always been very inclusive and supportive of my little darlings (who have additional behavioural and mental needs) and I would (and have) recommend them to everyone. There is a reason why so many families have joined and stayed for years. There is no 'Dance Mom' mentaility, just love and support for all kids. It really is a wonderful environment with patient, caring teachers and a village of parents all willing to help out. My kids are just thriving!

My daughter has been doing classes at at TBSOD for four years. It is a beautiful environment with wonderful values. The staff and the students are all very caring. My daughter has made some wonderful friends and the older students have been kind and I couldn't ask for better role models. I have also made some great friends with other mums so it has been a great experience for our family.

I can not recommend TBSOD high enough, we have been there for the last 7 years, both my girls started there from the get go. Wouldnt go anywhere else. The studio has a beautiful atmosphere, it's a lovely, family orientated community, everyone helps each other out and supports each other. The studio is like a 2nd home to my girls they love it that much, the friendships formed is amazing, the teachers are all fantastic and great to talk with, especially when working on solos. Words fail me as to why a negative review was left, especially since if you feel there is an issue both Michelle and Tara are both very approachable to talk to and happy to help where ever. Only last year we ran into an issue in regards to exams, both Michelle and Tara went above and beyond what they needed to, to help out, even though it was completely out of there control. That speaks volumes of how important each child is and there growth as a dancer. Not only do the children learn dance but it goes above and beyond that - community, friendship, respect, commitment.....on and on that list can go. Highly recommend TBSOD.

We have been with Tara Becker for 5 years. Absolutely love the school and it fits perfectly for us. Tara has always tried to improve the family feeling within the school and we feel valued as customers. Our girls have gained confidence, fitness and enjoyment and we cannot recommend the school highly enough. Keep up the great work. Your efforts are certainly noticed and valued.

I'm not exaggerating when I say this, I could not think of a single person in this studio that is rude. Everyone here is so supportive and friendly, teachers, parents and students. It is very much a big happy family environment which is what sets this studio apart from the others. I cannot fault it, however it is still focused on dance education as well. From taking classes here you begin to find a love and passion for dance which is why I am still a loyal customer for 8 years now going on my 9th. Whether you've been dancing your entire life or are a complete beginner with no prior dance experience whatsoever and is very nervous to try something new, you can rest assured that everyone always welcomes you with kindness and open arms.

Highly recommend TBSOD. My daughter has absolutely thrived under the direction of the highly skilled and caring teachers. Front counter staff are always welcoming, approachable and helpful. The whole studio has a very family centred feel and is a very supportive environment for dancers and their families.
