The Tamworth Craft Shed is an exceptional place to learn and create for adults. All members are volunteers who run the centre. My daughter at 25 learnt the complete process of creating with wool straight off the sheep’s back eg: cleaning, carding, and spinning, to knitting up a jumper. Members are always helpful when help is needed. Check out what’s happening at the Shed on fb Tamworth Craft Shed Photo Gallery. Highly recommend the Shed for friendly creative people.

Communication is shockingly bad. Which is a shame. My daughter did a try me class at the craft centre, and was told they would email us the invoice for the rest of the term. I have sent so many emails trying to follow up so she can continue going but they've ignored all my messages emails, and never sent anything. So she couldn't go. 🙁 don't recommend

This was a really good morning. The craft centre had a working blacksmith, woodworkers, patchwork and quilting, spinning and weaving and lapidary rooms. All were staffed by people who knew their craft and were happy to speak about it. Plenty of items for sale at very reasonable prices. Outside were additional market stalls selling handmade items. Delicious morning tea available and the lunch choices were tasty and not expensive. Well worth a visit - allow the morning and have lunch before you leave!
