Absolutely hopeless. My son has played about 5 games of soccer all year, get rain on Thursday then it clears up and the drainage on the fields are so bad the game is still called off Saturday, not to mention the roads, need all terrain tyres to come to Tamworth, I know it’s Land Cruiser country but didn’t think that was literal, and no footpaths hardly anywhere, have to walk down the New England highway with trucks flying past on the side of the road. But hey they have plenty of money cause we get charged to park almost anywhere. How about a decent shopping centre that would be nice, would also take some congestion away from
Peel street as you can’t even get a park there.

I hope the Tamworth Council hang their heads in shame. The neglect of Barraba, the forgotten. Village. I have recently seen the signs that say " Barraba has won lovely town" now it could win the worst town in NSW. The Village is just a junk area. Wrecked cars, caravans. and rubbish everywhere. Yards that have grass and weeds, some at least 6 foot high. People being inidated with cats. People having 10 or more dogs in their yards. When, you say to people, why doesn't the Council do something, you pay your rates, and the answer is, it doesn't matter we are a Village. Please Councillors make BARRABA a beautiful Village I believe it once was.

Who ever the dimwits where that approved the music playing until midnight at the light show on the golden guitar last night 1/11/22 thank you for the sleepless night. Not sure if you realise but the golden guitar is right next door to a motel where workers and families are trying to sleep, Last I remembered you dont need music to look at lights it was inconsiderate, unnecessary and it was loud who ever approved this you should give yourself a uppercut for been so inconsiderate and rude

Parking ticket machines STILL only take cash, no card and same for bus service in Tamworth.
Also got a parking ticket for being 22mins over, because I was held up by staff in a shop, not investing in this town anymore, terrible service, rip offs and all behind the times.

Very happy to live in an area with such a responsive council. I used the MyTRC app to report a number of things needing work, and almost all were attended within just two business days. Keep up the good work TRC!

BEWARE -I have had over 53 telephone discussions with them over THEIR error which cost me about $ 6000 which was the previous owners debt - it wasn’t my debt .....Keep a record of what you discuss with council staff (or record their calls with their permission ) because they will LIE to you , they say they will waive the debt , then deny they said that , bully you and transfer your call back and forth , they will ask you the same questions over and over again - they also banned me from Facebook without warning - just for asking an online question - they said I was swearing when I wasn’t - they have dodgy external lawyers who send out threatening letters which do not follow councils 21 day policy timeline - the dodgy lawyer only gives you 14 days to reply -they do not check their computer records properly- they misunderstand their computer records and they do not properly explain their advise - they also do not follow best practice when they sell ratepayers properties for non payment of rates - they are supposed to auction them off but they let agents sell them by private treaty - they are the biggest corrupt council in Australia !Sad
