Would recommend for anyone looking for a short course with lots of support
Also great for people with disabilities
Parking is a bit expensive but you can get a bus going past Currie street almost anywhere from Adelaide

I have studied here 2 years, every teacher is very nice and patient.
But one stuff at the salon shocked me, she was weird and rude, she wasn't racist because she was rude to everyone. We know this salon is cheap for students, but it shouldn't treat us like that.
I hope someone can take care of it and don't lose face to our school and our city.

Just had my hair done by trainee Kiara.
It’s the best haircut I have ever had. She was amazing. And for $14 too. It’s definitely worth it

I left a negative review back in 2020 for a course I enrolled in and paid for but did not start because no one at TAFE SA knew when it actually commenced and no one would get back to me. I deleted it since, due to Covid, it was somewhat understandable that things were a bit of a mess. I enrolled in another course recently, and now I regret deleting my original review. TAFE SA is a mess, plague or no. I don't know if their administration is understaffed or if they're all just work experience flunkies. Could be both. I did an Animal Studies course back in 2014 and that was also completely disorganised. How can it be so badly run? Sort yourselves out.

My friend goes here (distance learning property-related course). I'm writing this to keep her name safe and because this institution has caused her great stress, which has caused me to write this and warn others.

Her course was restructured and nobody was notified. She kept following up and it turned out she wasn't included on the email list and eventually had 2 days to get a student loan before the new term and couldn't do any reading ahead of time.

The lectures are pre-recorded but some of the lecturers forget to record (the machine records for about 40 minutes and then cuts out and the lecturer forgets to start recording again). So you get to listen to a roll call and silly questions from people in the class (that the distance learners do not need or benefit from but the lecturer cannot seem to manage the classroom) ...then you miss more important information that you actually need for assignments and exams.

The Powerpoint slides are formatted badly, so that distance learners need to reformat (for example, taking off the very dark background) so that they can print their notes. Assignments are not clearly set, so you don't know how long it will take and the word count is about 1000 words too little. The student forum has topics like "I'm so lost" because nobody seems to know what's going on.

Hyperlinks provided in the notes are out of date/dead/incorrectly referenced and the textbooks have errors. Oh and you hand in your course assessment at the same time as other documents with your name on, so the feedback is not anonymous.

Update: my friend's latest course was supposed to start last week. She could not access the online learning portal for that course. She ended up emailing the lecturer, who eventually informed her that the start date was postponed by a month (and nobody could bother to take 2 minutes to e-mail the registered students to notify them - bearing in mind online learners also have jobs, kids, childcare and lives they need to arrange around their studies).

Try setting your students up for success instead of having them swim upstream, constantly inconvenienced by incompetence. They have paid for a product and service that ought to have had some thought/checking/proofreading involved.

Great campus in the city centre, offers many courses but the costumer service wasn't great. I registered to a course and took a pre-test for reading, writing in 2015 and maths but never received the results up to now. Has contacted TAFE to follow up many times but had no result.
