The last two and a half years of my electrical trade course has been great up untill the last semester. The semester started off disorganised, the class broken up and was chucked into a larger class. Sat for two exams currently, and was told Im done, wont be passing the rest of the semester, and I have to repeat. Mind you, the semester has not even been completed. The problem with the electrical course is, every teacher has their own rules on how to run the class, who passes/ fails, resits and fixes an exam. How is this even allowed? isn't there a uniform standard at tafe? Someone needs to look into this.

From TAFE NSW i received an exceptional service with well-trained staff in a highly conducive environment. The teachers are friendly, well-behaved, and exhibit a high level of professionalism. The standard of education provided is commendable, ensuring students receive a quality learning experience.
i belive TAFE NSW provides a positive and supportive atmosphere that fosters growth and success.
Overall, it is a top educational institution that prioritizes student satisfaction and success.

I've been studying here for a number of years. Majority of the teachers are great. But I've had so much trouble over the past year whilst trying to further my education and my career goals. To say I'm let down and so upset over the lack of communication and understanding is something else. Edited to add* avoid this tafe altogether. Avoid it like the plague. If I could give this place zero stars I would because that's what it deserves.

Electrical department the worst piece of education I have ever witnessed and experienced. Lack of communication mixed with a complete lack of organisation makes it unbearable as a student. Most teachers are either, rude, unhelpful or both.
Steer well clear of this place. Would never recommend

The worst course I've ever sat in. They use an antiquated teaching methods and testing methods. The teachers are not knowledgeable about what they are teaching except one. The course was unbalanced, we spent too much time repeating some topic and not enough time on harder topics. We were tested on thing that were only mentioned once and never used.
This was a waste of my time.

Worse Tafe experience I have had.

Did not have access to all my class assessments until a month into the course, the assessments have resources/links to resources but some of the links are dead making it impossible to complete.

The teachers while friendly are very outdated in teaching practices, It feels like they are stuck in the 80s/90s and teaching how they did things while ignoring the fact that methods have changed in the past 30+ years.

Colossal waste of time, effort & money enrolling here, I have been to a different Tafe in the past and had lovely experiences so it is a shame going from those good experiences to this Tafe.

Sat in an online electrical trade class with our apprentice. Very disappointed with the teaching. I thought the students may have been exaggerating of the situation, but disappointed to see the lack of effort and knowledge of the teacher . The PLC they are teaching are obsolete and have been for many years. We will be moving our apprentices out of this college and making sure no new ones will attend Mount Druitt. Very sad, as I myself did both my trades and further study at this college.

The Institute is a good education platform as for the automotive apprenticeship they are seriously laking in supporting students and encouraging learning and advancement, the teachers have experience in the field but seriously can not teach students, they have to research and learn themselves, honestly the automotive teacher can not be bothered with students who actually want to learn and better them selves they say not happy leave and the government is paying these so called teachers. Tafe NSW needs to seriously assess they staffs capability in guiding students, teaching them in the subject they're employed to teach. If they can not do this then its wasting everyones time and money. Would not recommend mt druitt campus.
