We enjoyed our visit to the cafe and nursery (didn’t go in the farm). Christine from the nursery was very patient and had some excellent suggestions for my garden at home. Planted now so fingers crossed they do well. Thanks Christine.

Cafe and shop review only. I did not go inside the farm. Cafe is adequate pies and sauceage rolls were gone by 1.30pm when we got there. Great fresh fruit and macadamia nut stuff to buy

Excellent service and a great space for some family time with the little ones. The animals are an added bonus with the staff making it an extra special experience. Also a very affordable price with a great cafe and gift shop. Oh and you also have a great range of plants you can purchase. I also love that you can feel comfortable taking a picnic in and enjoying it on the grounds with plenty of shade and covered areas ,also enjoying the water park ....

Unless you have small children (<8 years old), give this place a miss. Entry fees $5 per child and $3 per adult. To have a 30 minute animal encounter, this adds $5 per person. The farm tours of the macadamia and avocado plantation no longer operate, so it’s really only the animals you come for. There’s a small playground and waterpark that would keep young children amused, but not for children older than 5 years old. The onsite cafe was the highlight. Great home made pastries and fabulous iced coffees.

We went here for high tea…..it was okay. I think they tried very hard to make it special but it really wasn’t. The tea pots they used were cute but tiny and the water didn’t pour out of them well. The sample foods were okay…scones were tiny about 1” across…and you only got two….desserts were all very sweet and heavy biscuit base. Two sandwiches choices ….neither one were explained….i think one was chicken and had no idea what the other was…some sort of green spread. We didn’t eat much much of the food. Lots of midge flies ..we were constantly squashing them on the table and we were inside the restaurant. The grounds were really pretty but it’s hard to find your way around….it does have sign posts but they are wood and old and you can barely read them. Overall…rather expensive for what you get and I think I would pass on this and just get a nice meal at the restaurant instead.

We had a fabulous visit to Summerland farm with our kids. Would highly recommend. We did the animal encounter where the kids got to pat Guinea pigs and a rabbit and we were lucky enough that the donkey, Gladys and some sheep came up for some pats as well! We then went on a farm tour where we had a drive around the farm, the kids got to see how the macadamias were grown, harvested and prepared for dispatch and even pick a few up to take home! We also learnt about avocados, bees and platypus! Educational and fun. Will be back in the summer for the waterpark as well ! Thanks for a fantastic family morning 👏🏼🙏🏼

We were in the area and wanted a light lunch so went here. They do have a restaurant apparently which we didn’t go to. We just got take away from the shop in the nursery/retail area and sat in the nursery gardens which was lovely. Not crowded at all. The gardens where the kids can play looked lovely. Well maintained with water fountains. No animal encounters were available that afternoon as there was an issue with a goat and a keeper resulting in the keeper having to go to hospital. Hope they were both okay after the ordeal. Has a shop, nursery with food, a restaurant, gardens for picnics and parties and pet encounters. Something for all ages. Nice little spot.
