Me and my wife have adopted and raised a beautiful young boy, until he went to this school. Every day he would come home and instantly go up to his room. We were unaware of the reasons until we went to his school. We saw him being bullied by older students and one of them even spat on him. I spoke to a teacher after school but they did nothing to help him. Truly unbelievable Stella. Similar to Daryl, my boy was also told horrifying stories that would keep him up at night. He is still scared to this day after he was once locked in the sports shed all recess by older students, and wasn't found until a class needed to go in there to grab sports gear for P.E. He now needs counselling for 2 hours every weekend from his traumatic past experiences. Absolutely unacceptable Stella Maris, not recommended

Stella Maris is a great school that has a strong community spirit. The teachers genuinely care and work hard to support their students. The administration is very caring and responsive. Our children love it there and we highly recommend it.

Stella Maris has provided a safe and happy environment for our children's primary school years. The community comes together through learning, sport, art and music to accommodate the interests of all the children.

Hi Stella Community, Id like to inform you all that, my child attending Stella Maris, is telling me that he is constantly being picked on by other students, and the teachers seem to be doing nothing about this, I had a couple of my children attend this school back in the old days, and one of them told me about their experience, He has said that one of the teachers had locked a student in the storeroom (a room where they store pencils and paper) due to his learning disabilities that he had. His teacher than was allowed to teach the class and was never seen the continuous years. Another time I had rung up the front office of the school, asking if they could pass on a message for my child, and they immediately snapped at me, and proceeded to tell me that it wasnt their problem and I had to contact my child directly. Stella Maris needs to pull their head in. Not good enough. I know about the problems with inflation but I didnt stop to think that It would affect the schools, my child was trying to purchase a ice lolly on a boiling hot day just around 31° and she was harrased by the Canteen Ladies about not having enough money, and wasting their time counting all her 5cent coins. Another terrible thing about this school I have heard is that the senior students tend to make up rumors that frighten my kids to death, they have told my poor little babys that there are killer clowns roaming in the school drains. There was a bike lock on the ground and a student had told my child that it was used to lock up the “killer clowns”. More rumors that my child has been told is that the Music Room is haunted by “the spirits of the nuns that used to live there”. They have been complaining that there is a piano going off when no body is in there and things tend to move around in that room. This whole school is a bunch of bolox. DO BETTER STELLA!!

I simply cannot recommend Stella Maris Catholic School, Shellharbour strongly enough. From the Principal, to the teachers, support staff, and office staff, I am always greeted by name, as are my children. Everyone at the school is so welcoming and they genuinely care about all students and families.

When I went here I noticed that certain teachers would pick favourite students and not treat the other students the same.I also got mean comments about my skin and I didn’t like it.
