This was THE BEST venue for a weekend away to celebrate my birthday with friends! So many lovely features and a great dancefloor! We even hired silent disco headphones for a later night party while the kids were sleeping upstairs! Epic ✨

Loved this place for a wedding venue. Veronica was super helpful. The option to decorate the space is endless and open to your imagination, but had a fantastic canvas to start with. We had 40 people for our wedding which was great, allowed a dance floor area. The building is very cold and requires some time to warm it up during winter but the bedrooms all have AC. I would recommend places for an intimate celebration.

We hired St Joseph’s for our wedding in April. The hire included 3 nights accomodation which was perfect for us as we were setting up and packing down the wedding ourselves. The atmosphere and feel of this place really suited our Australiana styled wedding. In the morning hearing the bellbirds first thing was just so peaceful. The venue is clean and has a lot of the equipment you could need for a wedding ie; wine glasses, plates, cutlery, etc. Also, we hired a mother daughter duo from the local pub (settlers arms inn) to help with the general house keeping during the event…. House keeping is an understatement, those ladies need a review site of their own. If you ladies see this, we really can’t thank you enough. You were so attentive to my needs. The way you set things up like the bar when it came to toasting (they even put little cute bows on out flutes) and the cake, just spectacular. Ash and her mother even took photos and sent them to me the next day. Basically I’m saying, the day wouldn’t have been the same without you…(so if you need extra help, ask the pub and these two beautiful women). Back to venue… the communication was clear and helpful. The price was within our budget which secured the deal on top of the fact of the location and with the days you had in total to use the property. It’s a hidden gem.

I seen the rooms, the pool and a few other little treasures that could definitely make living here be as enjoyable as staying! I couldn't get enough of the place! Best castle in Australia so far!

Beautiful location with extraordinary views. The only downside is there is no reception in the area which is not the fault of the venue. Definitely a good opportunity for a social media break but be prepared to go no contact for a while

We had our wedding here and stayed for 5 days - and it was an absolute dream. Set in the most peaceful valley, Steve has gone above and beyond in restoring this gem of a place. Bedrooms are so comfy, large kitchen with everything you need, and so many spaces to chill out both indoors and amongst nature, we had the best time with our bridal party getting ready and celebrating. Such a unique spot and a short drive to the Settlers Arms where we had our reception (definitely worth the visit). It's one in a million, and I can't wait to come back again!

What an incredible place. For hubby & I on a quick midweek break away this gem was just what the doctor ordered. It’s rustic & charming from the front door to the grounds. The bed was ultra comfy & Ensuite clean & quite spacious. There’s something to catch your intrigued at every turn. We had so much fun pointing out to each other quirky little relics that are to be seen throughout the property. The kitchen provides anything you could possibly need to self-cater. The media room is comfortable & roomy. We loved sitting & listening to the beautiful birdsong from both the upper outdoor area under the steeple & the massive deck.
The restoration is a credit to Steve as we’ve been travelling out to St Albans for decades now showing our friends & family the Settlers Arms. The Thursday night “Pot Luck” dinner was delicious as expected from this great little historic pub.
To watch the transformation unfold over the years is nothing but inspirational.
Thank you for bringing it back to life & we hope to be able to spend more nights there with friends in the future. We loved every aspect of St Joseph’s.
