this school is so bad , guys don't send Ur kids here unless you want them to befriend or become a terrible person who truly believes they are better then everyone. Also will probably become addicted to nicotine. also no grass except for lesbian lane which is very annoying bc u have to go to eddies anytime you want to do a field sport and that's a fat treck too do.

My best friend had an absolutely traumatising experience at this school, and experiences PTSD to this day. Some of the teachers involved still teach there. The stories I have heard are abhorrent and I firmly believe that investigations need to be conducted.

My mum went to this school when she was younger and I was excited to attend. However, as someone with ADHD and Autism, this school was outrageously unsupportive. Both the teachers and the students fostered an environment that made me feel othered and forced me to conform. St Joseph’s leaves no room for growth and refuses to accept faults. Much of the bullying I suffered went completely ignored. And it wasn’t just two or three girls. The entire school environment upholds toxic behaviour. While the grades at this school make look good on paper, it is not worth the stress and trauma that many students endure. I did not graduate. I left this school in year 10 after a mental breakdown. If you are looking to send your neurodiverse or disabled child to St Joseph’s, please reconsider.

Most of the good reviews on here are posted by the teachers which sums up this school in a nutshell. Joeys is a reputation obsessed school with outdated methods and resources. The interactions I had with teachers when I was there were traumatising and belittling. Telling students that they are going to hell is hardly productive. I had 2 teachers that were excellent though but they're both gone now, go figure.

My daughter has been attending this school for 2 years. She has had a great time. The staff are very dedicated and go the extra mile. Pastoral care is excellent. There are plenty of opportunities for the students to be involved in social justice groups and co-curricular activities and sports.

Both of my daughters went through St Joseph's and we found it be a very caring and nurturing environment with a major focus on social justice. They had opportunities to assist with coast charities such as Vinnie's breakfasts and Coast Shelter and visited aged care homes to entertain and socialise with the residents. The school also ran many activities, fundraisers and tours focussing on social justice issues. The academic standard is excellent with very supportive and caring teachers and staff that will always go the extra mile reflecting in great results. There are many opportunities for co-curricular activities such as rep sport, choir, dance troupe and orchestra. A great school all round.
