This was fabulous! I went on a Friday through Sunday silent meditation retreat and my only regret is that I hadn’t done it sooner. This is authentic, real and profound. Led by Himanshu this is a truly authentic immersion based on his own practical life experiences and training: and I can assure you they are profound!

We also had three yoga sessions led by Lauren, who is a fabulous teacher and a beautiful person. I really feel attending this retreat could be - and most probably will be - life changing.

Rachel did the cooking and it was both awesomely delicious and plentiful with variety. I attended the centre in the Hunter Valley and it was a truly peaceful, beautiful place with log burners for the autumn and winter and air conditioning for the summer.

George was the glue that held us all together with night time fire put fires and much more. You owe yourself this pleasure and this journey, do it!

A huge thank you to Himanshu and the team at Soul Journey Retreats. I have just completed the 3 day retreat needing some serious down time and respite from a very busy world. Being in nature, away from excessive stimuli, eating amazingly great food, doing yoga practice and sharing space with like minded people was incredibly healing and inspiring. I am looking forward to my next one and will make this a regular event in my life. Thanks to all and Blessings

Thank you Himanshu and the entire team at Soul Journey! I just completed a 2-night silent retreat. My brief weekend escape seemed to come and pass seamlessly as I ducked off from work early Friday and returned to everyday life Sunday afternoon in a completely rejuvenated state of mind. The short 2-day/night format provided the perfect introduction to silent retreat and was just what I was looking for - a quick 'recharge and reset' from a cluttered schedule. The program Himanshu presents is thoughtfully put together, balanced and interesting. I am already planning to return to immerse myself in a longer retreat! Thank you for an awesome experience 🙂

My second retreat with Himanshu, and I'm already looking at the calendar to go again. Himanshu has a great ability to read the room and balance relaxation with focused practice based on the individual.
The grounds are fantastic, fully immersed in nature. The facilities are outstanding, and the food is world class!
Funny how hard it is to turn the phone back on afterwards. Thank you Himanshu and team =)

I have just returned from a 3 night silent retreat.

For disclosure - and to bolster my review - this is my second silent retreat with Himanshu and team, following a 2 night retreat earlier in the year.

From the first retreat the clarity, freedom and presence felt like a cloud had been lifted and that I had felt like myself for the first time in years.

I chose to book again for a longer period and it was what I’d hoped for and more.

The retreat:

Found the place easily enough, up a driveway / path off the main road and as per the address advertised.

-The house(s) are lovely. Beautiful location, surrounded by trees and nature’s call.
-Clean bathroom(s) & kitchen / dining area which felt welcoming.
- I was in a 4 bed bunk room which took me back to my backpacking days but I shared with one other only. The room was nice, clean, comfy bed and having slept amazingly (naps too) it gave me everything I needed and expected.
-the food. I know I shouldn’t make the food the biggest highlight but genuinely it’s amazing. Each meal - which was served to us (seconds encouraged) - was like a lovely home-cooked, tasty, nutritious delight. Fresh ingredients, light on the tummy, juices, teas & some Ayurvedic tonic shared with us on occasions also. A bowl of fruit topped up and left for people to help themselves to was also a lovely touch.
- Yoga, now I’m not the most flexible person in the world but the teacher (Sammy) was great in helping me get into the poses, so I could maintain the benefits and she also tailored some to help with my shoulder (recent operation). I’m far from a yogi, yet, but enjoyed the challenge of the sessions and certainly appreciated the benefits. Yin is a delight and the classes & studio / room they’re held in seemed perfect for us.
- Meditation: a varied amount, lots - as you’d expect - over the weekend but guided, sensory, relaxation, some optional sessions &
‘Nature meditation’ are all available. I came mostly for the silence and meditation and it helps me to unwind, not judge, feel present - something I struggle to do with a busy lifestyle.
Silence: as I have mentioned, it’s my second retreat so knew what to expect. I was hesitant the first time, fear of the unknown, but I embrace and genuinely love it. You find ways to communicate what you need to and I find it such a powerful way to check in with how I’m doing. There’s no awkwardness, everyone is in the same boat and it’s not something that’s pushed on people, Himanshu and team leave the proverbial door open for people to approach and ask questions.
Philosophy sessions: these, I love. For me, they tie in the meditation, the silence and the yoga classes and bring it all back to ‘the why’.

Overall, it’s something I’d highly recommend. Hearing people’s stories pre silence and experiences post silence is powerful. People sharing love, power, fears and vulnerabilities - it makes me feel great about my situations and gives me hope.

I’ll be back, 100%.

Thanks again to everyone that helps run these and to everyone on my visit who was in the same boat.

The most delicious authentic love invoking space to spend with beautiful people in deep silence and contemplation.
Ive spent almost over 40 years in some kind of therapy and or personal development and ive never felt such clarity from being at a retreat before.
The thing i got was not to just love myself deeply, which i do, but to be with myself fully, which is something i tended to avoid.
Now i am awakened to me and my soul purpose.
Do yourself a favour.. Do your soul a favour.. Book Now
Amazing space, the most extraordinary wholesome home cooked with love soul food and a deep connection with yourself xxx 5+ Stars
