My wife and I had a fantastic time at our Introduction to Pottery Wheel Throwing class.

Marion was a great teacher! She was very patient, and provided valuable feedback during the session to ensure we had the best experience possible. The hours flew by as we were having so much fun!

We are looking forward to seeing our finished pieces in a few weeks time.

We highly recommend this class!

Something at Mary’s is the perfect way to relax and treat yourself and friends or family to a great day. The explanation given by Mary is simple so that anyone can understand. I’ve never done pottery before but she made us forget that it’s was our first time. I highly recommend Mary’s to anyone!

My partner and I went for the Saturday throwing and Sunday Turning classes. Marianne showed us how to do the basics and helped us and others get 3 pieces of pottery each made up Small cup, medium cereal bowl and sml/med sized bowl. The classes are small (4 ppl) and are run in a quirky little garage, its small and basic (a bit hot if its hot outside, lol) but the space and the weather soon became irrelevant when we immersed ourselves in the cool clay fun. Marianne went the extra mile and we had a great time. Highly recommend!
I just wanted to add that we went back to pickup our pieces a few weeks later and we are extremely satisfied with our finished work, its not perfect but that's ok with me because it was made by us (pottery noobs). Now we have some really nice bowls/cups etc to keep. Thankyou guys!!!

Marion showed a gifted ability to teach the basics of pottery while displaying her wealth of knowledge and experience. Her teapot-making class struck a nice balance of structured guidance and room for creativity. It was gratifying to finish with a completed teapot that just required 6 weeks to be dried and glazed by Marion. My girlfriend and I had a great time. I encourage other complete beginners to give it a go.
