Without doubt some of the best flying spent in great company of my life.

I recently attended an XC clinic at Corryong VIC facilitated by Rafa. Corryong itself is lovely and the paragliding off Mt Elliot is breathtaking.

Rafa coached four pilots all of similar but subtly different skill levels. He managed to coach each of us individually and also collectively. We all learnt a great deal and increased our respective skill levels significantly. Constructive feedback is given right throughout the flights and all through the retrieval and return to the LZ for another go.

If you’re looking to improve your general paragliding skills and experience the absolute thrill of coring a thermal then I highly recommend doing an XC clinic with Rafa and SkySurf Paragliding.

What an incredible experience!! My hubby and I were gifted this bucket list opportunity for our 40th birthdays and it’s something that we will remember forever!! Rafael and Dan were so professional and knowledgeable and we felt completely safe and supported the whole time. The view of the Canberra region was magic and the feeling of flying around in the crystal blue sky was beautifully breathtaking. Had an awesome time doing the SIV course with Rafa. We did some full stalls with back fly exits, and I learned so much. Rafa made everything super fun and safe. Highly recommend it if you want to up your paragliding game. Thanks Rafa!

Rafa is one of those rare paragliding instructors in Australia who has the perfect combo of skills for teaching. He is a talented and experienced tandem, acro, XC and comp pilot, he is amazing at teaching and providing instruction with a relaxed demeanour and attention to detail and he has great personal skills. He is also just a cool guy who is very passionate about the safety and success of all his students. I am a PG5 (experienced) pilot who recently participated in a 3 day SIV course with Rafa at Lake Burrendong and it was an exceptional experience, the best location and the best team in Aus looking after the towing operation. I highly recommend Rafa and SkySurf Paragliding courses to paragliders (or prospective paragliders) of all levels.
