As one reviewer here said, if you want see how bad web UI/UX was in the 90s, you don't need a time machine, just use Sentral. (Even though web UI even in the 90s wasn't as bad as what Sentral is right now)

Instead of just using your User ID and Password like every other website on the planet, Sentral thought it would be an amazing idea to treat your timetable like it's One Piece by making the login process to access your timetable as infuriating as possible by redirecting you to at least 5 different login pages.

First of all, you need to input your User ID and Password (fair enough) Once you've done that, you have put in your full DETNSW e-mail address in a Microsoft Account prompt because as of recently, the NSW DoE has made it so every single one of their services requires you to sign in using Microsoft even though this was not needed for the past 10 years, because both Sentral and the NSW DoE love enshittification. You do all that just to put your User ID and Password that you just entered at the beginning, yet again, after which you get a prompt asking if you trust "education.nsw.gov" (i personally don't but i have to accept it to access a damn timetable) and then finally you're asked if you want to stay signed in (it doesn't matter if you select yes or no, because either way, the second you exit your web browser or Sentral's own godforsaken app, you'll have to do the whole process yet again)

95% of the time, Sentral will just throw an error at you after your unnecessarily massive login journey, as their servers run on sticks, or you'll get stuck in an infinite login loop because Sentral feels like they need to change their links every 3 minutes.

Not to mention sometimes you'll get banned from logging into Sentral for putting in the CORRECT username and password. And all for what, a timetable?

School student use- New Update is horrible. Not functional, not easy to use, takes a long time to load. I do not need a timeline, I do not need a student feed for every single assessment across the school, and i do not need my class list. I need easy access to daily notices and my timetable, but these both take a very long time to load and are difficult to access. Terrible services, all nsw schools should cease use. A year 9 coding student could make a better system off of their Ipad.

Sentral is so cheeks. I got banned for 30 minutes because I apparently I put in the wrong password. But it's the same password I've used for the past 4 years. I even checked and I didn't do anything wrong, this has been happening a lot lately. plus I have to add some information on how dead and goofy the system is. Its so slow, looks like it was make in 2004 and hasn't been updated since then. update: do you want to fix your website. how am i supposed to use it if im locked out. Update: I cant even log in with my own email anymore, like how am i supposed to know where my classes are, this site was made by actual toddlers

Very bad experience this year with Sentral. The student portal link does not link to any other other website. It is also difficult to use the site when you can get on. The old portal was so much better and easier to use. Please start that site back up again.

If I could give a zero, I would. Dreadful customer service. I have been trying to deal with an outstanding matter that's over 1.5years old, and have still had no resolution to it. No one has contacted me back despite the number of phone calls or emails I have sent. We hired them to provide our staff with professional learning on how to use their software. The person who came had their own agenda and actually never taught us anything that we wanted to know. They charged us a lot of money for this and after sending a big complaint about their service, they promised to come back and re-deliver the professional learning for free. After about 2 years, we are still waiting for this. Waiting times are ridiculously long on the phone, and the help guides are stupid, clunky and useless. They do not provide enough information or guidance to be able to do what you need help with. This company is charging a fortune to DoE schools, yet are absolutely useless to deal with. Disgusting and appalling service. If I had the power, I would remove them from our school and use another company. Do not use this company!!!

this website, is so so so so bad. i keep getting locked out of my account for 30 minutes because my password is "incorrect". ITS LITERALLY NOT. and this keeps happening constantly and is hampering with my education. if you guys fixed the silly website, then kids would not feel this way and you guy would have better reviews.
