It’s one of the best Italian pasta I have ever had in Sydney. The generous amount of seafood with a good amount of authentic homemade rich tomato sources. The pasta is not overcooked at all, and I have loved every single bite of it. The consistency of the source and the freshness of the mixed food was spot on.

Such a good quality dish and made my day especially after a long day at work.

Also big shout out to the cashier lady, who patiently point me to the right dish. Great customer service and a rare treat for me to be able to taste the marinara pasta on a Wednesday night.

Overall, I highly recommend to everyone who is keen for a delicious pasta meal, I can’t wait to try the pizza next!

A restaurant near your home that you’ve never tried in years, and when you finally go, you wonder why you hadn’t discovered it sooner because it’s so good.
That was my experience with Sam's Italian Restaurant today. I ordered take away for a casual Sunday night dinner with my family and found a hidden gem. If you live in the Ermington & Melrose Park area, you should definitely give it a try.
There's parking available, so you can dine in or take away.
When I went to pick up my order, the owner even greeted me warmly, calling me by name.

Greeted at the door on arrival. Friendly prompt and helpful service. the menu has a wide variety of Italian food. The main meal was good but not exceptional Italian food- perfectly acceptable and affordable. The highlight was the free desert sample unexpectedly brought out by the owner- Lebanese pancotta (no I hadn't heard of it before either!)- it was to die for- fantastic!!. Recommended.

Great Italian food!
Had Sam's pizza, garlic prawn pizza, spaghetti bolognese (pasta was cooked to perfection) fettuccine boscaiola, salad side, and home made tiramisu.
The boss helped us order as we were first time there and made great suggestions.

1st time here for dinner last night 27.7.22 & loved every dish we ordered & great friendly service from all staff on top

We ordered:

1. Sam's special - medium pizza. Toppings & base were great - it was browned nicely without being burnt

2. Seafood marinara spaghetti - best I've had in Sydney. Seafood was fresh & perfectly cooked. It wasn't fishy like all other marinara sauce bases I've had & the pasta was perfectly cooked - just over al dente, which was soft yet firm, & not soggy

3. Prawn linguine w/tomatoes, pepper & basil oil. It was perfectly cooked but not enough flavour - almost plain. I asked for more sauce & chilli, which they adjusted for me & it was the best prawn linguine I've ever had. This wasn't a menu item & only on their specials for the night, but they assured me that I could order it again 🤤 I should've taken another photo of the improvised version

Feel bad for those who gave low reviews - we came early on a weekday as the weekends are busy, so maybe that had an impact. Our first time here (technically) was on a Saturday night & they were packed out busy & the food wait time was an hour so we left instead of waiting. That could've had an impact on the type of service & food quality experienced 🤗 glad we returned & highly recommend, based on our dishes

Passing by Emington at 4:30PM, I was looking for a place to have linner (my late lunch and early dinner)
Options around didn't look too tempting apart from one, that was opening half an hour later (at 5)
I decided to wait, and as their take away / delivery side was open for them to start working, I could actually sit inside meanwhile, which was appreciated
Their menu is quite wide, with starters, salads, sides, pastas, risotto, pizzas, veal/chicken, seafood, gelato, desserts
I went for garlic prawns (with garlic bread) as a starter
And then a funghi (mushroom) risotto
And (bottled) apple juice as a drink
It was all delicious, in the right quantity
Oh, and as I was tempted by the Nutella pizza, but I was full, I ordered one to go (I was told it's still good when eaten later, and it's preferable NOT to warm it up)
Also staff was friendly, and attentive to my needs
The restaurant is spacious and well lighted
And they have Wi-Fi

Nice place and owner putting a lot of effort to run it properly, but food just OK, some steamed veg plus rather mediocre veal, however pizza looked absolutely stunning if that's your goal here. Good desserts

I ordered boscaiola pasta but I get Bologenese . They didn’t even check the order . Very bad experience . 👎
