A beautiful place to live. Dom (the Dean) is fantastic and always available and willing to help you with any needs you may have. The facilities are in excellent condition with modern appliances and the rooms are always kept clean thanks to the wonderful cleaner Joe. I couldn't have asked for a better place to live while completing uni.

The atmosphere of St Francis College is homey and welcoming, making everyone feel safe, valued and comfortable! The staff are considerate and compassionate toward everyone reinforcing the feeling of being in a family and are always available for a chat. The facilities are clean and up to date. The building is secure and easily accessible for all residents. I Have zero complaints about my experience as St Francis College. 🙂

Spacious rooms with ample study and storage space (offers ensuite or standard option). The college also offers recreational facilities with a pool room and a formal lounge with piano/chamber organ for those musically inclined as well as a TV room .

In terms of social dynamics, It has a tight knit cohort of residents and excellent residential advisors heavily invested in student welfare and safety (aided by the Dean and Chaplain) who understand the hurdles and pressures university students face. There is a sense of camaraderie and closeness which is developed through the many social events i.e Saints Ball (alongside St. Martins) as well as commencement mass (with dinner afterwards) occurring at the start of the academic year .

The college is one of the most secure having CCTV cameras positioned around the perimeter, lit car park as well as swipe card access (installed recently) on all entrances as well as student rooms.

The staff are very approachable headed by Dominic Byrne (College Dean) and supported by Fr. Sean Byrnes (Chaplain) as well as Mr. Joseph Elbenou (Maintenance) all of whom pride themselves on the ethos of running the college as if it were a family rather than an institution and supporting students physical, spiritual, academic and personal development.

It is best to be aware that admission of residents is done via selection process which can be competitive given that there is a maximum of 50 room capacity as well as very high demand for places at the college.
