What an interesting museum. We'd never heard of this group before seeing it was here in Dubbo. They have lovely displays with a variety of interactive modes. Such an incredible service to help people in the outback and remote areas have access to health care, dental services, and emergency medical help. They also have a nice gift shop and little cafe inside.

We visited as the cafe had great reviews and were not disappointed! The food was fantastic. We paid to enter the museum and the interactive displays, real-time flight path screen and timeline of the history of the Royal Flying Doctor Service were so engaging, when we visit next time we'll leave more time to read through everything.

The Royal Flying Doctor visitor experience gives a good insight into one of Australia’s most iconic and vital services. The exhibition is engaging, and well-curated; with plenty of audiovisual displays and interactive touchscreens. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The attached gift shop offers a range of souvenirs, with proceeds supporting the Royal Flying Doctor Service, which is a not-for-profit organization, relying on government support and donations from the public to sustain its operations.

This is an AMAZING experience for young and old. The information boards and the interactive displays are extremely well done and the staff are ALL absolutely wonderful. There is so much RFDS history and so much for the little ones to see and experience at every corner! We visited for about an hour but could have easily doubled that. The cafe closed at 3 so we missed out on a coffee unfortunately ☕️
The souvenirs shop is well stocked with well priced options for every budget!
Thank you for a great afternoon

Very informative and interesting visitor experience. A volunteer walks you through the museum, showing you and explaining everything in all the sections. You are then free to wander at your own pace to read, listen, watch, and try out everything on offer. You walk away from here with no doubts about how important the RFDS is to our huge country. They truly are a Godsend, and this museum does an excellent job of highlighting this fact!

Lots of reading of history, not for children as there is no ands on interaction activities. No accessing the inside of the only one plane that is on display. There is a model of the inside where you can take a photo. Family paid about $70. All staff working/volunteers do interact by asking you many questions and watch you like a hawk. When a person is out enjoying the day with there family, last thing they need is a stranger asking them questions constantly. We did not like the experience and did not think the cost was worth it.Time spent 45 minutes reading about the history and viewing a video.Stories of peoples experience with the Royal Flying Doctors service. Buy a book. Instead, it will last longer and cheaper and something the family can share.

An excellent experience for people of any ages. There is an 8 minute “movie” every 30 minutes which features many different people sharing their experiences with the service. There were many interactive displays which are perfect for kids.
