Lovely staff! Paid $55 for half an hour per child. They got to ride a horse around the farm. The kids had a blast and cant wait to come back again. Next time we will do 1 hour! Staff were friendly too! Only wish there was somewhere for adults to hang about while waiting for the kids...it was a bit wet and muddy so we sat in the back of my boot!

In the sunshine, especially in the afternoon sunshine, Rosthwaite shines like a jewel. Spending time there is a privilege. Not only do you learn how to ride a horse but you have a country experience.

The staff are very friendly (and great riders and teachers), and the owner, James Arkins, someone who has a certain cache owing to his show jumping expertise, gives that added feel that you are with an experienced team.

Between rides in the sandy arena and rides in the back paddocks , you leave there feeling more alive and I might add, spiritually uplifted. There’s just something about spending time with animals and the smell of the countryside.

My big recommendation is don’t miss out on the rainy days - they are equally charming when there are puddles and a drizzly mist hangs low on the green pastures.

All this just 90mins from Sydney.

Have always had an amazing experience as Rosthwaite, both in lessons/trail rides and agisting my horse there. Jess is very knowledgeable and always has a smile on her face, as well as being a fantastic coach. She even got my husband (who has never ridden before) cantering off the lunge in a few hours.

Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn to ride to book in with Jess - you wont regret it! The horses are all so friendly and well looked after also.

This is our favorite riding school so far! Ms Jess has been an absolute gem towards my little one. She constantly comes home and tells us she wants to be exactly like Jess! What a fantastic role model to have! Thankyou Rosthwaite Farm!

We are so very happy we chose Rosthwaite Farm for our daughter’s riding lessons. Jess and Claudia are wonderful as are all the riding instructors. The instructors are professional, cater for all levels, are very patient with beginners, so encouraging and give great feedback. The grounds are incredibly beautiful. I can’t think of a more beautiful place for my daughter to learn to ride. Something else that stands out is how much everyone loves and cares for the horses there. We are looking forward to seeing what our daughter can accomplish with the wonderful help of Rosthwaite Farm.

Booked a little pony led ride for my 4 yr old and myself which was a beautiful little walk around the property with a lovely instructor, Claudia, who was so friendly and gentle with my daughter.
I then had a jumping lesson and having not ridden for over 6 years was feeling very out of practise. Claudia was so patient and gave me such amazing, clear instructions and really helped build my confidence.
Communication with Jess when booking was excellent and we felt so welcome on arrival. The horses were very well cared for and clearly very loved.
Overall an excellent experience.

Booked a session for 3 adults, led by Jess and a few youngsters, I enjoyed the ride so much!

It was so nice to see the young student riders leading with such confidence, giving them responsibility and treating them with such appreciation is a great way to contribute to the future generations.

I thought the cost was reasonable, with a discount associated with booking 3 or more adults.

I think all this place needs is a little cafe with homemade goodies😁

We had an absolutely wonderful ride at Rosthwaite Farm. Carefully picked horses with great energy and personality, and lovely staff to guide you. They have a beautiful property and it was such a joy to explore grounds. Thank you so much Michelle and Emma for having us, and I have no doubt we will be returning soon.
