What is my reason for this one Star? Well….

Unfortunately, my son suffered severe bullying at RJ, to the point where we had no choice but to pull him out. Even after leaving, RJ students continued to harass and cyberbully him. What’s even more disappointing is how teachers turned a blind eye, took sides without proof, and outright misrepresented my son’s experiences to me. How can you expect me to agree with your perspective when my son was clearly distressed? Offering a few words of encouragement while refusing to take meaningful action is not support… it’s negligence.

From what my son has shared, the bullying started with a small group of students but quickly escalated as others joined in, as if bullying were normalized at this school. It’s deeply concerning to see so many students willing to participate just to fit in.

My son’s experience at RJ has been overwhelmingly negative. A school should be a place where students feel safe and excited to learn, but all RJ gave him was emotional distress and damage that has only worsened as your students continue to harass past victims. There is no excuse for failing to hold anyone accountable, especially when my son repeatedly sought help and was openly bullied in front of teachers on multiple occasions.

It is deeply disappointing to see that, despite numerous complaints and negative reviews, students continue to attend RJ as if this pattern of behavior isn’t a serious issue. No child should have to endure what my son went through.

I went to this school for a long time. They withheld principal awards, student awards and many other things from me. I was bullied from kindy to year 9 when I left. I had issues with cyberbullying, verbal, emotional, physical and social bullying. This school gave me detentions when all they had to do was check their security footage, which would show me innocent. I even got detentions for things I wasn't present for that day. I was harassed on a bus once, and the school had told me it never happened. I had issues with making friends as the bullying was in my entire year and the years around me. By year 8, my grades had severely declined, and I had no friends. When I or other people would tell the school about my bullying problem, they would do nothing to prevent it. They even would lie to my parents about doing stuff and made my parents believe I was a liar, damaging my relationship with my parents during that time. I spent and will spend many years to come to fix the trauma they have left me with due to their neglect in taking care of their students. I never got accommodation for my ADHD, depression, or anxiety. I would never send my kids or anyone here. However, I am not telling you not to go or send your student; I am simply warning you about what happened to me at this school. If I could sue them for the damage they have done to me and my future, I would because they caused me huge issues, trauma and academic issues. I hadn't even learnt how to work in a group until I moved schools because they never fixed or tried to help with my bullying problem at school. One time, I went missing from school and hid for two whole periods, and no one even went to look for me or noticed or did anything. Please consider this before sending your kids here.

Wonderful school with excellent staff and teachers. Well equipped and good in maintaining standards all these years. I am really happy and glad to find RJAS as a learning institution for our daughter that lays the right foundation from early years. Academic, sports and extracurricular activities offered are amazing and has helped her to grow in various aspects shaping her likes , interests and personality.
The school not only met our expectations but went beyond by maintaining its strengths especially during COVID-19 pandemic times.

School and school staff is well equipped to handle students In the right way. Very realistic and practical approach towards issues. I heard school suspends kids who do the wrong and that’s how it should be so that it’s exemplary to others.

They give enough home work and make sure that it’s checked on daily basis.

Our kid has started a year ago and we are so far quite happy and hopefully will be happy through out. Also planning to have our second one there soon

Thanks Rjas.

If I could give the school a 0, I would. Soo many things happened to my child. First week of a new high school my child goes off campus for sport. I receive a message to say the kids will be late & I needed to pick up my child. Once I get there nobody knows where my child is. There is nothing worse than a head teacher saying "DON'T PANIC, WE HAVE A MISSING CHILD". The school didn't know where my child was for 2 periods. There are no private buses and I was advised the fees I pay are to pay teachers. There is soo much bullying in the school from both students & teachers. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone.

ADDED: Funny how you cannot reply to your reply. This happened February 2021. And please don't call me a liar. And Stephanie knows all about, as does the Principle. We had a full meeting about it.
Thanks for trying to cover it up.

Again, I wouldn't recommend this school.

My daughter has been at RJAS since Kindergarten and has loved every minute. All the teachers are kind, nurturing and show a real love for the kids and teaching.

Sending my daughter to RJ has been one of the best decisions I have made for her and I highly recommend this school!

Both myself and my boys love the school. They are so happy and so well supported in all areas. The teachers are caring and encouraging. We have considered moving home a couple of times but when we talk about moving school both my boys says no. They love RJ and have since day one in Kindy. My eldest will finish year 6 this year. Can not recommend RJ highly enough! 😃

I had a terrible experience with this school, especially during my last year. The school endorsed favouritism and so often teachers/ staff/ principle were quick to dismiss themselves from helping the children who really needed assistance (whether it be with assignments, bullying or any other concerns) The school is not understanding with personal situations, but we’re very keen about their fees being paid on time. On one occasion during year 11, I went through a family situation which I had informed the school about in advanced. The school was not understanding about the situation and I was refused time off to be in the hospital with my family, Unfortunately my nan had passed away and I requested an extension on a few of my assignments which were all denied. I was told “that would be unfair on everyone else”. So I had no time to grieve for my nan and had to completeall my assignments with little to no help from the teachers. I did not feel like I belonged at the school, which is coincidentally part of their school motto. On top of that, my mother also contacted the school in advanced to let them know that the fees would be a little difficult to pay during this time, and the school did not offer any help and demanded that the fees would be paid on time. Eventually the school settled with taking $50 off one of the payment. There was not support, emotionally, physically, mentally and financially. I beg you do not enroll your children into this school, choosing to attend this school for my last few years is my biggest regret. There are plenty of schools out there that really care about your children and have better understanding and compassion. The school may look, big, fancy and expensive but that’s all they are, the school only cares about their image.
