Opening hours do not reflect the fact that entry is not permitted half an hour before closing. Eg for a Sunday 1pm close last entry is 12.30pm. This is a disappointing fact to learn when you arrive at 12.35pm and could be better advertised.

Today was an ordinary day in the garden ? and we took a trip to the Moss Vale Resource Recovery Centre to drop off some garden waste.

Then we went to pick up a kebab and I said where’s my watch ?. We tried not to panic because I didn’t have my phone ? to ping it’s location.

We got home only to realise that it was very likely in the pile of green waste we dropped off 1/2 an hour ago.

Made a hurried trip back with little hope of the return. It was 20 mins till closing. ?

So we let them know at the gate and he said don’t worry I’ll let the boys know and they can help you ?

First Scott came to help, climbing on top of the pile of greens. With the little reception we could hear it pinging and had a small amount of faith. Then Roger and Tim came to help who enlisted the help of Horace with his big tractor with tongs to pull apart the squashed pile of green waste.

The reception was waning and so was the time as they were now past their knock off time and we thanked them for all their help and went on our way. ?

Not 10 mins later I received a call from Scott to say one of the guys had a metal detector, went hunting for it and FOUND IT! ?

WOW, ? thank-you thank-you to Roger Bromage, ?Tim Ryan, ?Scott Thomas ?and Horace Smyth ?for being absolute legends and staying back to find my watch, you guys are outstanding and deserve more MONEY ? ? ? ?

So Moss Vale residents when you go to the Moss Vale Resource Recovery Centre be kind, caring and considerate for the people who work there because they really care when something goes wrong. Thankyou so much Guys ❤️

Been here a few times and there's always something new to find, something to provide a bit of artistic inspiration, or something to add that finishing touch to a project. The staff are always friendly, and willing to provide any assistance necessary. The only reason I don't go there more often is because there are often too many curios and trinkets, and not enough projects to use them on. All council areas should have a place like this attached to their waste management sites.

Great staff in the waste recycling centre, friendly and helpful. 3 stars reflects I can't recycle pot plant bases, wsc recommend putting them into general rubbish, when are going to stop putting mountains of plastic into landfall? It's terrible in this day and age this is still happening. I found out our local cafe also does not have commercial recycling available, that's mountains of plastic, all those milk bottles! That's unacceptable, wsc please do something about this

The Resource Recovery Centre is well set up. We delivered sheets of corrugated iron. From the gate through to the metal section, staff were very polite and very helpful.

I was a first time visitor with my elderly father.

The staff were not only friendly, but went out of their way to assist us. The setup is spacious and well signposted.

I haven't been there for more than 10 years, got to the weigh bridge and nothing from the woman, not a hello, hi or anything.
Was handed a ticket and as I asked where I needed to go she slammed to window shut.
I then did two laps trying to work it out and still ended up in the wrong place as a guy came out of nowhere screaming to get out, I asked where I was ment to be and he said I needed ESP to get around.
What a bad experience to dump 20kg of household waste.
I will take a drive to Marulan next time and I get to see Frank too.
