What a great place. My son has been training here for the last 4 years. I was at grading practise last night thinking how far my son has come, thanks to Tony + Ron and the other coaches. BJJ is not an overnight thing so to keep kids engaged learning both the skill itself, discipline and respect is the best. Good place good people!

I couldn't recommend this place highly enough! Tony's expertise is second to none and the minute you walk through the door you feel welcome! Unfortunately I live over an hour away but I still make the drive every chance I get to go train with these legends, which speaks to how good this place is 5 stars!!!

My children have been going to Pure BJJ for 3+ years now.
You're always met with a smile and hello and positive attitude from the adults to the kids. Its always been so welcoming and warm like a big family!
My son started when he was 5, he was a shy introverted kid, he was scared at first, Tony & the coaches were very patient and understanding with him, knowing that going into something new can be quiet daunting for kids.

My son was hesitant to try the wrestling, but Tony made sure he was with someone of his own size. They always keep a watchful eye on the kids and taught them straight away about safety.

My daughter sat on the side lines for a year before she joined and has made lots of new friends with all the other girls in the class.

My kids beg me to go to BJJ even on days. It's not on.
Tony & the coaches have not only taught my kids self-defense, they've taught them mind control, strength, social skills & team support.

Can't fault this Pure BJJ.

Looking after your body, mind and spirit should be the top priority for everyone. No other sport has challenged and pushed me as much as the martial art Jiu Jitsu. I personally have trained at multiple Jiu Jitsu gyms and I can honestly say that Pure Jiu Jitsu Southern Highlands, located in the heart of Bowral, is by far the most welcoming, professional and addicting place to train. Head Coach Tony Pycroft is one of the most passionate, patient and giving people I have come across. I can really feel and see that he is only interested in helping people become the best they can be, on and off of the mat.
The rest of the team at Pure Jiu Jitsu are like minded, helpful and caring men and women. Everyone is there to look after each other and ensure that we have a safe place to develop our technique, and push ourselves to the limits mentally and physically.
I love this place! Home away from home!

I've been training here regularly for a while and I can honestly say it's the best BJJ gym I've ever been to. Great energy, great instruction and no egos. Tony Pycroft is a great coach who makes us all work hard, but understands that everyone is different and on their own journey. My whole family trains here so I couldn't recommend it enough. Life wouldn't be the same without this place!
