We booked a birthday party at PCYC Bathurst, hoping for great service given the limited options in the area.

We booked 8 weeks in advance, paid a $50 deposit, and were told we’d get two hours for the price per child.

However, communication leading up to the event was poor. We had to chase them to confirm our booking and never received the confirmation message we were promised the day before.

On the day of the party, we were surprised to learn that the two hours included 20 minutes for setup and 20 minutes for packing up, leaving only 60 minutes of actual playtime—meaning the party ended at 1:20 pm, not 2 pm as expected. We were rushed out the door because another party was coming in after us and we had to wait outside in the rain, for kids to be collected by parents because the times were explained to us in correctly.

While the staff were friendly, the experience felt rushed, and we didn’t get the value we paid for. We won’t be returning.

Awful receptionist, didnt't answer questions and straight up responded with blank 'no's a few times, clearly not interested in providing good customer service or helping young people access resources, had to ask follow up questions that any reasonable receptionist would've already answered, and quite rude.
