Awesome selection of seafood.
We went with a local expert specifically for some King Prawns and weren't disappointed.
Also picked up some Balmain Bugs, which were precooked and delicious.
Had a yummy meal that night 😋😋

We’ve purchased seafood at Northern Rivers a number of times and it’s always been excellent. We live near Coffs Harbour and will make the effort to drive up or call in when going home from the Gold Coast. We think this is the pick of the places on the coast for fresh seafood.

There's a fantastic array of fresh fish and seafood of all descriptions and also frozen ones, but my rating is for the cooked section. Once again, there's a large selection of freshly caught fish to choose from that can be cooked for you along with the standard fish and chip shop fare. The calamari is coated in a very thick crispy coating, and if it hadn't been overcooked, the calamari would've been delicious, but it was rubbery and chewy. The chips were also super crispy because they too were overcooked. I'd chosen a piece of fresh jewfish, and it was battered. Super thin crispy batter mostly, but the thicker parts were a bit gluggy, but worse than that, it'd been overcooked and the fish was dry and chewy. I've had fish and chips from here in the past and was always very satisfied. Today I was very disappointed.

Dropped in for the first time last Saturday. I was after prawns... Tiger, caught last night or massive king prawns. Wow! Then there's all the fish, oysters, lobby, crab. Beautiful seafood 😋

We travelled from across the border preordered and paid deposit for seafood weeks in advance. Picked it up Xmas eve and opened the order they had sold our oysters “apparently “ and the king prawns were the size of a child’s little finger even though we had paid $40/kilo. It’s been our go to for the last 15 years and got ripped off basically. Very Disappointing.

Bought 500 grams of cooked prawns ($36.99 per kg) and unfortunately did not taste very fresh. Could still eat them but taste wasn’t the best - 3/5 for this reason.

A gem for fish lovers, huge variety of very! fresh seafood. Also Takeaways like they used to be. Crisp, fresh and tasty. Great selection. Best prawns and prawn cutlets too. ( I just heard they are a two or 3 generations owned business ) .

Fast friendly service from helpful staff.
And open later than the others so you can stop in after work to grab some seafood 🍤
