We were running a pre school sports program here in Term 1 2024. Principal Irene Faros had kicked us out 1 day before the school holidays and left us with no time to find another venue to start our pre school sports program in Term 2 2024.

Had begged her to give us time until we were able to find another location but she did not give any further explanation as to why we were unable to continue using the school's facilities.

During the school holidays, all the schools offices would be closed. We called as many schools as we could but unfortunately no luck.

No compassion. Literally left us stranded.

I used to go here, not the best, not even just bad, probably the worst experience I have had while in the school. All the good teachers left while I was there, and most of the male teachers left as well.

I went to that school back then and how they treated me and other students with disabilities was absolutely disgusting. I went to Newbridge heights from 2007 to 2012 . My brother was diagnosed with autism and how they refused to provide extra funding for support for me and other students who had disabilities but they support gifted children and they had dedicated classrooms for them but very little to no support for children with autism that just need that extra support.

I remember going to Newbridge and I was often known as the problem child I was often yelled at by teachers for not being like the other kids just because I did things a little differently. It wasn’t just me but other kids in my class were often reprimanded for just expressing ourselves just like normal kids it had damaged my self confidence over the years I remember when I was in lower primary for assembly we would sing was called wake up go to the kitchen we all loved that song because it was such a fun and silly song and some of us got a bit carried away and after we were yelled at by the teacher in front of the whole assembly. And at recess and lunch outside playing and after the bell rang and if we were playing in the standards that the teachers wanted us to do the teacher on duty yelled through a microphone calling us nasty names just for having fun. and football cards were banned at the school for no reason.

There were a few incidents that happened that still trigger me till this day. When I was in kindergarten we were all doing painting and we had to put on our paint shirts i have sensory issues and I don’t like feelings of certain fabrics i didn’t have my paint shirt and I have given a shirt that had a certain fabric that made me feel uncomfortable and my teacher kept trying to coerced me to put it on and I started to have a panic attack instead of trying to calm me down or look for alternatives she pushed me down on the ground and yanked the shirt on me while I was screaming in front of the class I don’t remember much after.

Another thing that happened in kindergarten was that we were learning about how apples grow on trees and we were colouring in and somehow my teacher didn’t like how I was colouring the picture the way she wanted so she ripped it up and threw it in the bin.

I just wanted to post my personal experience about being in mainstream school without any Additional support with someone who is on the spectrum I just want proper change and both children and adults with disabilities to not being overlooked in the New South Wales Department of education to provide funding and Support for children with disabilities.

all the good teachers left the school, all thats left now are a bunch of biased teachers who dont have any passion for teaching. the best teacher i had was probably mr naicker, but he left to teach elsewhere. once i heard a teacher say "i dont really care what they do, as long as they dont go crazy". another teacher called me miserable in front of myself and another teacher, who laughed along.
the education here sucks unless you are in the OC class and/or you have a good teacher that actually knows their stuff.
sport with ms muntz sucks, as she only cares about her class winning despite giving talks about "sportsmanship". she even helps her class win if they really need to, and lets them cheat, but doesnt let the opposing class cheat.
the canteen is too expensive and not worth your money. my friend ordered a chicken burger and they burnt the chicken so badly. the old canteen was way better.
all the teachers here had a thing against me, i dont know why. if you can enrol in holsworthy ps, then do it. i bet its way better than this place.

NOT impressed to find out the school decided there were too many girls trying out for leadership positions in the Year 5 prefect selection process and told approx. 9 girls not to prepare a speech to be presented on voting day because they would no longer be participating........unbelievable on so many levels, I will be taking this further
