Sutherland School of Rock are the best! My son has been involved with them for 4 years and the way they have nurtured his growth both musically and as a person has been first class. They have music teachers that suit every style and every student. The best thing about the teachers is their all current active gigging musicians and this ensures the relevance and context flows through to the kids. The best thing we have done for our son was singing him up for SOR Sutherland!!

I highly recommend School of Rock Sutherland. It’s a game changing experience for kids (and adults!) The staff are genuinely interested in the musical journey of each child and make every session unique and enjoyable. The School of Rock shows are outstanding - I never imagined seeing a bunch of 8 year olds belting out rock songs could be so good. Thank you to Kath and Bernie for your tireless commitment to our kids and these shows.

I have been part of the adult program for the last two seasons, and have thoroughly enjoyed myself. The team at School of Rock are professional, approachable and good humoured, and know from their own extensive experience what a joy music can be, for people of all abilities. I've met a great bunch of people in my fellow students, and we get the opportunity to play some awesome songs for each other every week, and for a public audience a few times a year (with all the hard work of staging the performance taken care of). I would recommend their program to musicians of all abilities, whether you are looking to improve, take up a new instrument or just have fun.

School of Rock Sutherland is an amazing music school. They not only teach kids how to be amazing musicians, they also teach them a love of music. They also teach kids to work hard, dream big and to see how much kids improve and become more confident is just amazing! Can’t say enough good things about this music school, the program and the teachers!

Highly recommended. School of Rock Sutherland has created a fun and supportive environment where the kids get to work together preparing for real performances playing music they love. Our child looks forward to his School of Rock tutorial and performance sessions every week and his feedback is always that his session was “epic”. If they can manage to keep teenagers happy they’re definitely doing something right!

Jack's been at School of Rock for around three years and seems to have loved every minute of his time there. He looks forward to every lesson, rehearsal and especially the shows. He does drums with Stef and guitar with Josh, both amazing teachers. Passionate about their music, really professional and have a great rapport with the kids. Still now every time I hear Jack practice he seems to be working on something new and playing better than the week before.
The performance program is a great environment for the kids to develop their skills while having fun, making friends and getting excited about the music and of course the shows. The SOR shows are incredible and always a memorable experience for the parents as well as the kids.
Thanks to Bernie and Kathleen for bringing School of Rock to the Shire. It really is a special place, Jack is so lucky to be part of the SOR family.

My son was having drum lessons and finding them boring and losing interest quickly. Upon joining School of Rock he immediately was able to put his skills into practice jamming with other kids as a proper band. His enthusiasm for the drums was restored and he absolutely LOVES going to School of Rock. In addition he has made some fantastic new friends and it's heartwarming to see the camaraderie the kids have by playing music together.
Kathleen and Bernie have created a relaxed, safe and very family friendly environment for the kids and parents to visit. The teachers and music directors are top notch and cater for all levels from complete beginner to fledgling rock stars. If you have a child who wants to have fun playing cool music then enrol them you won't be disappointed.

My son started bass guitar lessons at the School of Rock having tried other schools and become bored. He absolutely loves the School of Rock! The teachers are amazing and connect with their students in a way that no other music school does. He has developed not just his playing ability, but also his ability to perform with a band through their unique programs. His world has changed in the most amazing way due to School of Rock. He has found his passion and his place in this world. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
