We have 3 girls currently in highschool, Year 12, 9 and year 7. My two eldest started with Miss Penny’s when they were in year 8, as will my youngest next year. We have found that even if they are going ok in the classroom, to have that extra one on one time with a dedicated professional educator in a quiet, calm and nurturing environment has created such positive and rewarding experiences when it comes to learning in whatever subject they may be working on, in this case maths. Aside from the results achieved in their exams, it is their confidence and capable focussed mindset going into assessments and exams that has given them the potential to achieve their goals. They understand that both of my girls have completely different styles of learning, and this reflects in their teaching approach. They have learnt how to deal with pressure and challenges in a much more organised and methodical way. With 2020 in such a unique and disrupted state this year, they have been able to adapt to online learning, which gave us familiarity and security when we didn’t know what was going to happen. They have been able to guide us through this HSC year with our daughter and make changes where necessary. Miss Penny is always available and present when I have a question, problem or just need reassurance. She is passionate about her students achieving their individual best while maintaining a healthy attitude towards pressure and challenges. Even though we are tutoring in maths only, I have noticed their self esteem and positive attitude which they are applying to all their subjects. Cannot fault Miss Pennys educators who are professional and caring. They are passionate about their work and helping their students thrive.
