I have been with Mentor Mates for a few months now and am very impressed with their services. Talking with Patrick first to decide on the needs wanted I have been fortunate to have Shane as my support worker. Shane is a caring person who has been able to help me out in the garden, visiting the local Men's shed and knows some very good cafes around for that much deserved coffee and then go and over-look the surf.

Since finding mentor mates my son has built great relationships with some of the fellow mates as well as the carers. Patrick has always gone above and beyond to show my son the respect and time he needs. My son has attended footy matches, movie nights, Melbourne trip and dinner nights out with this amazing group. Unlike other organisation we have tried, I have found that my son really looks forward to attending these outings and has also had a boost in confidence when interacting in a social setting.

My son has extreme anxiety and rarely leaves the house without myself or his dad, after being matched up with Sam the first few sessions didn’t go amazingly but Sam never gave up, giving him space and support.
