I want to give a shout out to my job consultant from Wollongong - Maddy! I spent 11 months with her, and she was fantastic to work with. Although I was seeking employment in a very niche sector, Maddy made sure to listen to what I wanted and did everything she could to ensure I was on the right path. Without her guidance, I wouldn't have gone back to university to further my qualifications, nor would I have joined the self employment program with APM, which allowed me to create my small business and live out my dream job. My experience with Maddy was enjoyable and beneficial. I couldn't recommend her enough. She's amazing!

Shoutout to Lisa - had an appointment with her this morning and by lunchtime I’ve got everything I need to get back to
work including new work gear, achievable points targets and another appointment set at a time that suited me. She was also just really nice to deal with. Was a bit anxious going in with all the bad reviews but I reckon I got pretty lucky. Parking is also easy and 2HR.

Max employment is one of the worst job providers I have been too. Your case managers are always overloaded which results in them not caring and brushing you to the side with any concerns or issues you may have applying for work. When they do send you jobs it is as if they took notes of what you can not do (due to having physical and mental disabilities) and then are confused to why you say no. It doesn't help the small amount of time I was with them I had several case managers due to the horrid turn over rate of workers there. It was obvious that no notes were taken due to when hand over did happen and a new random person would call or email they had no knowledge of me and my issues and I had to go through the stressful process again to know that it wouldn't be long before I was changed to another workers as someone left and case load had to be moved around. The best worker I ever had was one who only ever spoke via emails and just kept pushing me through with little contact. She no longer works there. I am not sure how much better other job employment services are currently but save your time and mental health going here.

Absolutely incompetent and lazy. It's like their only role is to cut off payments whenever someone misses an interview, and collect a government paycheck whenever someone who's been forced to be a customer of this parasite of a "business". They have been no help whatsoever in finding a job except for holding the power to cut off government payments from their customers if they do not comply with their demands that do not help one bit with actually getting a job.

Max Employment in Dapto are absolutely horrendous. The consultant was absolutely rude, didn't listen to anything I said at all, was arrogant and spoke down to me like I was stupid and then when their phones were down and I was unable to contact them for an appointment I had a demerit point put onto my record. They do not add to your file and they have absolutely no social skills to be working with people who have disabilities of any kind. I am absolutely disgusted with this and I hope anyone thinking of joining the Dapto office will seriously think again. Would give negative stars if was able.

They do NOT help you in finding a job in any form, which is their one purpose, they just haggle you for time wasting appointments and hand out demerits for any excuse they see fit. If you do happen to find yourself a job, they'll harass you to any end for any details, fair enough, but it borders on harassment. They also do the bare minimum to assist you in starting a job, and make any excuse they can to refuse to help you

Wish I could give it minus a star. Just copped a demerit point due to them not being able to see me in office due to my vax status for last year+ so every appointment has been via phone. They sent a letter to the address of my nan who has been dead two years to state policy has changed instead of correct address that they have on record AND I STILL HAVE A POINT TAKEN OFF. Manager is calling me up on Monday and if this is not fixed I will keep you all updated. Would not and could not reccomend this farce of an agency.

Very unprofessional, disorganized, and most of all incompetent. I was there for 3 months, and they had done minimal in attempting remedy mine and others individual cases with also relevance to the current economic climate, it was a simple "you're a number on the governments books and we don't care" attitude. (Presumably just following the current legislation and regulations that do not reflect the current economy, but also suspecting they use unethical methods to cheat and take advantage of a system that's intended to help the vulnerable). Their communication skills are below average, with no attempt to actively listen, empathize, and work constructively towards finding SOMETHING suitable for each individual case and for those who are actively making a decent effort to find work. I changed providers, and within 2 weeks I was able to obtain a job. I strongly recommend reassessment of their government contract, and their responsibilities to the unemployed public.
