Oh the hoops you have to jump through to meet centrelink criteria.
At no fault to the agency itself, it's an absolute top tier nightmare trying to get through a month without being totally drained and depressed. The staff here are by and large friendly but in the same breath the organisation is utterly useless. I have received no help in the area of actually getting employment. I pull myself through the doors as a number just to meet a quota with minimal positive interaction. My career is going nowhere. Searching for jobs is not getting me anywhere. I am stuck and receiving no help. I get assigned to courses (which are admittedly quite fun) but not actually useful to me in the grand scheme of things. They also don't compensate us for the costs imposed with courses. I spent 80 dollars on opal and had to spend tonnes on food which basically drained the entire centrelink payment that i was there to keep receiving. Literally a waste of time and a waste of taxpayers money. I am collecting welfare just to dump it on unnecessary unhelpful tripe. You could make the excuse that it teaches me the life skill of independence and the ability to fund the basics for my self but it would make more sense if it didn't cost everyone money. I understand that they have to meet government obligations but the simple fact of the matter is that i am there to get employed and not just to do the bare minimum just to collect benefits. My last period i wasn't able to apply for any jobs and i am being made to feel like i am inadequate and it's my fault when it isn't. I've done my best, more than the agency have done for me to kick start my career. Me and a peer have enrolled in tafe courses to try and broaden our employ-ability avenues but through conversation the only interest the staff have shown to us is the scheduling so they can communicate with centrelink and rework the compulsory life-draining soul destroying document called a job plan. Nothing to congratulate us on actually making progress with our lives. This conflict of interests is what causes the divide between all the staff and the seekers. Dealing with job seeking is just a dance through circus acts of incompetence and broken systems. This complaint isn't directed to anyone there personally as i actually have a deal of respect for them individually as people. But i find it really hard to deal with this situation i've been put in. It feels like they're slightly out of touch with the job environment, 20 jobs a month as a minimum (more for others) is an unreasonable goal set by the government and they think it's fine and i am substandard. The reason i look like i am behind others is because i don't LIE on my job sheet about jobs i haven't applied for. I do not lie, i do not apply for things i am not capable of. I don't waste peoples time, i do not put unnecessary stress on myself or anyone else. The toll this place has on my mental stamina is looking like it may not be worth the money. Especially considering the money will be cut off from me shortly because i am unemployable.

Nothing but a bad experience every time i walked through the doors. Are dishonest and very untrustworthy. Almost lost my job because of them. Having a job is no excuse to miss appointments apparently even when you state days and hours you cant attend.

Received the letter for phone interview a day later than the interview was booked by them. I called them straight away, however due to high number of calls I was unable to get through. The automated answering machine confirmed that they will call me back, but the never did.
Due to missing the interview they cancelled my centrelink fund.

The absolute worst. Be aware that they will lie to your face to keep you as a client. And no matter what they say, you should not cancel work to attend their appointments.
