The Youth Pastor is an absolute legend. Funny, witty, and great theologian! I learn just as much about life in the real world as I do about Jesus and his ministry. The group is extremely inviting and inclusive, I instantly felt like I had been mates with everyone my whole life! The food that's provided is always better than most the meals I'd eat throughout the week, the atmosphere is incredible and a home away from home. I look forward to Friday nights more than any other night throughout the week!

Most disappointing. The kids were taken to a venue in Redfern tonight ie Hill Song(a religious organization) without any prior knowledge from myself nor my 15 year old daughter.
The team leaderJaxon claimed to have posted this notice on Instagram.
I do not do Instagram, nor does it constitutes legal permission to transport minors to a venue outside of the Regular venue I believed she was to be at in Garden street Maroubra.
As a parent I have the right to be informed of the program outline PRIOR to the event unfolding, so I can make an informed and voluntary decision, and most importantly give my consent.
This is a legal,moral and ethical obligation for any organisation.
To make matters worse, I received a text fro my daughter(once there) to say they were running late coming home as there were issues with the mini bus. They arrived back to Maroubra at 10.15pm! Far off from the normal 9pm finish time.
Part of what she was involved in on arrival at Hill Song was having to participate and listen to one of the' Sermons' being conducted by Hill Song with members of their congregation.
This whole incident has left me appalled.
After my daughter got home I looked on her Instagram post and saw the very obscure message that had three large letters-UWS(united we stand),
and no mention of where they were going.
I am very disappointed with this Baptist youth group.
The actions of the Youth Group, in my opinion does not constitute christian values, nor has it acted morally or ethically.
You have let parents down and the kids down.
