Don’t order the cheeseburger!!! For $18 you get meat and cheese only. No sauces, no pickles etc. One of the worst cheeseburgers in Sydney. I’m only giving it one star because the staff were really nice.

Watched the football with Matilda’s playing and was a great vibe and atmosphere. They allowed cheering, whistling and all sorts of banter which was an enjoyable experience

Highly recommend for a local or a place to eat

The food is varied and from what I got, it was okay, though not the best. Being the lamp chops which weren’t cooked on high heat so lots of fat. The chip portions is also very small

Overall a great place to hang and catch hi with mates, definitely going back and signing up as a member next time!

Relaxed atmosphere which had all the right protocols in place with regard to the past 2020 to 2021 Covid 19 situations. Thankfully all good now (2022) but stringent sign in and security protocols remain.
Caters for all sorts, families, the elderly, the young, the gamblers, the quaffers, the sports fans and myself. HOWEVER.....Still no Carlton Draught available in the busiest part of the club, get a lift to the 2nd floor and hope the bar's still open at 7pm! Lost all the old regulars, apparently we don't matter!!! It's a COMMUNITY CLUB.
Still have to drag my 76yo carcus up the lift to get a proper beer, White Rabbit? Not beer, who drinks that?
2024, Yay, Lion Nathan exclusivity agreement gone, proper beer is now available. Carlto Draught rocks, go the OF'S ?

Went there to train using my fitness passport, only to be told I need to be a member of the club even though it states differently on the fitness passport website. The old grumpy receptionist Alex then rudely told me to "open my ears" and listen to him when I was simply trying to show him the app. I know it's only $11 dollars to join, but when it's clearly stated on the site, it requires no access card, why should I pay Alex, you are very rude and I wish you find happiness in your life. If you don't like your job/life decisions that's your fault. Don't take it out on people

I have no idea how this place attracts so many diners. It was our first time here & the last! The food is absolutely abysmal & overpriced for the quality! Nothing is fresh. We had the a number of dishes including the chicken schnitzel, barramundi, calamari, lamb souvlaki. The chicken schnitzel was rubbery, the fish & calamari frozen and with no flavour or seasoning, the souvlaki dry and overcooked! The lemon on the calamari dishes had already been used! A menu with that many options is always a worry. Should’ve listened to my instincts.

Unprofessional Service. I am writing to express my dissappointment with my recent experience at Maroubra Seals Club

During my visit, I encountered a receptionist who was not only unprofessional but also rude. She has a bob haircut and glasses. When I arrived, she was laughing loudly with other staff members, completely ignoring my presence. I had to wait for a considerable time before I was acknowledged.

Additionally, I overheard this same woman speaking very disrespectfully to an elderly customer on my way out. Such behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on their establishment.

While the venue is spacious, I found the food in the restaurant to be unappetizing, and many areas were half-empty. This space has the potential to be a great entertainment center, but the service needs significant improvement.

Lovely friendly staff . Highly recommend the barramundi at the bistro , sooo good. views of maroubra beach and prices very reasonable.

Edit - My friends and I returned today and I have to say we were given wonderful service. On of my group has severe disabilities and has to have his food a certain way and the kitchen staff went out of their way to cater to our needs. They did this in a gracious and respectful way. We were very happy and appreciative.
A very delicious meal for not a lot of money so therefore this is a great place to come if you’re looking for a great meal but you are budget conscious. It goes to show that you can still get a nice meal without having to bust open the piggy bank. It’s in a great location, just across from Maroubra beach and you can go for a lovely walk after your meal. This is your typical little club with the pockies, bingo etc. Thumbs up
