We had two meals here this week. The first was outstanding both food and service wise. Unfortunately the second visit and meal was very poor. Two meals had dry burnt schnitzels, one meal the lamb was good and the 4th meal arrived 1 hour after all the other meals and was cold. The service wasn’t great. What a shame it’s so inconsistent because when it’s good it’s very very good.

My partner and I came here a bit over 12 months ago and ordered the ribeye to share (comes with 3 sides). It was amazing. We came back this year looking forward to ordering the same meal. There was a slight variation in the sides on the menu, but the same result. It absolutely met our expectations. Steak was beautifully cooked, so tender. Sides were delicious. Do yourself a favour...

Jack Daniels and coke (two off) didn't taste like it had JD in there and if it did, it was weak and the mixed coke was awful.

A pity, because the salsa dancing was fun.

The team from manager to Bar staff very friendly and helpful. Real old world charm in a classic pub with all the modern conveniences required. They should be proud of the great job they're doing. Highly recommended.

Nice place but I ordered Chinese and in all honesty it was absolutely disgusting. The meat was dry and like charcoal. The boiled rice was the only thing worth eating on the plate

Delicious dinner!! My husband and I shared - . Warm beetroot salad, slow cooked lamb shoulder and a marvelous banana split to finish. Accompanied by a delightful Grenache Shiraz and a little Prosecco with dessert. Sophie looked after us wonderfully. We will definitely return when next visiting Narooma.

Went here for an 18th birthday party with 18 people, after waiting 40mins to take the order we were told we had to order at the bar. Food was very average, very limited menu. We thought there'd be more to choose from. Staff were friendly, the barman was also our waiter, for what is supposed to be an upper class restaurant in narooma it was very disappointing. Will not be going back

Review is for the restaurant. Have been coming here for years. Nice low key ambience with a fireplace and hopefully Merivale won't change this. Service is great, but it would want to be given the tipping culture that they're trying to introduce to the south coast. Fish pie used to be excellent but it's now more of a potato pie...still good, and I realise produce prices have gone up, but I'd prefer that they increased the prices by a few dollars rather than cutting quality. No plimsoll line on wine glass and definitely didn't get a 250ml pour...suspect it was the end of the bottle as tasted like it had been open for more than a day...not what you expect from Merivale.
