We drove off five islands rd upto the lake foreshore. It’s a beautiful coastal lagoon. It is supposedly spread across 35 sq kms and one of the largest coastal lagoons in nsw. I’m told that the sea it connects to is the Tasman sea. It is beautifully kept, walkways on the side and offers plenty of recreational opportunities.

My new favourite hang out! Not a very touristy beach but that's what makes it special. Not much sand here unlike a regular beach. But the water is shallow - you can walk to island across the beach and really far out and water only up to knees. You could sit around in the water for hours chatting away! Great for kids, non swimmers and ppl doing paddle boarding etc. There are also amenities nearby, a playground and a kiosk that opens Wednesday to Sunday ( according to signage, we were there on a Tuesday and it was closed).
